Theo Epstein has acquired 9 of the starting All Stars and 3 reserves in his tenure with the Red Sox & Cubs.

Can't even begin to recount the moves this guy has made in his career.

Epstein is just getting warmed up.

Saw Cueto last night go 9. Stellar. I raised a glass to the late JSizzle and am still sore about losing a Cueto quality start bet when he was a Royal.

But then I remembered Epstein, Cueto and the Dodgers. Two teams on opposite trajectories.

Cueto is a goat at pitching to NL teams but wow what a difference coming over to throw to AL hitters was for him.

Baseball is a long grind people. The Cubs are a very good team regardless of this slide it's just they aren't going to be winning 105 to 110 games like people thought was possible early on.

You must have missed the fact that Cueto was tipping his pitches in the AL by using hand signals to his catcher to call the game. It took AL hitters about 4 & 1/2 seconds to figure this out.

Pretty easy to hit when you know exactly what's coming.

For sure but why he did that as long as he did is beyond me.

Cubs lost 9 out of their last 10 games. Arrieta is back to his old ways before his 18 month heater. Lester and Lackey are dinosaurs and the offense is average. I still think they won't make the playoffs.

More like the Scrubs. Think they have lost like 15/20 or something.

But it would almost be impossible for them to miss playoffs. Always funny when I hear stuff like that about a team so far over .500 at 85 games. They won't play .200 ball the rest of the way, I promise.

Pirates will win the Division Stay tuned. Cole coming back Glasnow finally called up Bullpen is the best in the division. Pirates schedule for the 2nd half of season is very favorable. Today they will sweep the Chicago Pedos!!

For those who didn't know about this: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb...ve-it-to-them/

I posted this last year in the MLB thread during the World Series & had been happening to varying degrees the whole of his Royals tenure.

The pirates just need a few more fags with long hair and maybe another white guy with dreads and they will be all set.

You see where Joe Maddon put two pitchers on the field at the same time for matchups or threat of matchups?

arrieta was so good for so many starts dating back to last yr, i wonder if these very hittable starts mean arm trouble or just a temporary bump in teh road

Why couldn't that have been the Cubs in Boston tonight?

Amazed the number of Giants fans there very unusual. There was once a time not so long ago we would have to go to Camden Yard to see a game. Always sold out. No chance visiting fans would get a ticket.
