I constantly watch the food network, unless its some shit about cupcakes or sweets. Thats when ill turn on the cooking channel.
are you kidding, I learned how to puree on that show
food network is for women, get with the travel channel for pete sakes.
Watching good chefs cook is weirdly fantastic. It's never gotten old for me. Don't like Chopped or any of those competition shows, though, other than Iron Chef of course.
New epsode of Chops is on tonight on the Food Newtork. Right now there are repeats on. The one currently on is pretty epic episode.
I think you guys mean chopped.
Food network has dropped off a lot by moving away from pro celebrity chefs, to more regular people cooking at their homes.
We never see guys like Batali, Emeril, Tyler Florence, Chiarello cooking much anymore.
On the other hand they show tons of Sandra Lee, Rachel Ray and and those Neely people.
Diners, drive-ins and dives always shows cool food if you can overlook the often annoying Fieri.
The best thing I ever ate is pretty good as well.
Peace,

I miss Molto Mario. That was my favorite show ever on the Food Network.
A lot of the talent that got dropped from the Food Network went to the Cooking channel instead.
It seems like the Food network made a strategic decision to move away from professional chefs and do more amateur stuff, probably in a move to cut production costs, sort of like the networks did with dropping sitcoms and going with "reality" TV a few years ago.
Also, I honestly did not even know any of the Food, Cooking, Style, DIY networks even existed until I started cohabitating with the woman who eventually became my wife a few years ago. They all existed in this blank space on my direct TV guide between the ESPN's and TNT that I always skipped over without even ever looking at.
I am not saying I would go out of my way to watch these shows on my own, but if I have to watch something she wants to watch I will take the Food channel over Housewives or Big Rich Texas or Jerseylicious or any of those stupid "reality" shows any day of the week.
Disclaimer: I do like Housewives of Atlanta, but all the other cities are garbage.
