Not the fact that law enforcement got involved. That's not at all surprising. It's the fact that it was Nevada Gaming, rather than the DOJ.

I kept thinking DOJ, like we all did, because they're the ones who busted all of the other poker sites.

But there wasn't enough money in this operation to make it worth the DOJ's time.

I totally didn't think about Nevada Gaming. No one did. But it's so obvious and so amazing that no one didn't, as Nevada Gaming is REALLY sensitive to any kind of unlicensed gambling in the state.

They busted those coin-flipping scammers in the Bellagio hotel rooms (the ones Iceman worked for).

They busted that World Cup betting ring at Caesars.

Basically if you're running any kind of gambling operation that Nevada Gaming hasn't licensed, they will come for you.

Amazingly, no one thought of this in relation to Seals, but looking back it's so fucking obvious.

So Micon really can't ever come back or will be looking to do a stretch? It costs 250k per person for a citizenship in Antigua or 400k buying property(real estate investment) he should go with the latter option. Just wow. The biggest difference here is they were BILLIONAIRES, and WILL get off.

And so its not confusing, I say this because I agree with it, because when you have the ability to properly DEFEND yourself the truth comes out equally.

If you were too use like a public defender because you don't even have a few hundred, you are going down, at best maybe can "plea" the minimum. But after court the same "public defender (pretender) is going to eat lunch with the same one who just prosecuted you. Its all on you they are on the same team. Private council is the ONLY way. I learned this the difficult way.

I think it's possible, from what I gather from Druff is that the DOJ could have come in in any other state, but since it was Nevada they wanted to handle it with the NGC close to the chest. Just my assumption. I'd imagine nobody is going to let you run a gambling ring anywhere and be so open about it

I am saying that Nevada was the absolute worst choice, and that Nevada Gaming was the most likely law enforcement body to go after him (though none of us really thought about it until now).

The hammer would have eventually come down if he lived elsewhere in the US, but likely from the local police or a federal agency, and it would have taken longer.

Nevada Gaming is serious business.

To keep it even bc I respect what swc is. Its because they really did win a World Trade Organization disagreement with the United States, and the "world" for that matter and so it has weight. They are this tiny island and probably wouldn't mind hiring U.S tech people so its not the worst place.
