    He's a puzzle.

First it's his ERA. It certainly has come down. 3.85

His fast ball is climbing in velocity. I saw 94mph in the clip. That is high for him. Been a struggle to get over 92mph until last year.

His stuff lives in mid 80's. Obv nice movement. He's been changing his mix as his 4 seam gets faster. This should help.

He definitely was not a strike out guy. Despite the video. So far anyway. Lotta ground balls off sinker, slider. Too many line drives. BABIP kinda guy, playing with the wrong infield given his style.

Stetson College. Lol, a baseball field with a cafeteria and a few classrooms to keep NCAA at bay.

    Decent size.

He's got upside - this needs to be his year. I'd take him for my team.

    Thx for heads up.

i realize this was only a few games, but what a display. his stuff in those vids is as nasty as it comes. halladay like, but harder and more movement.

Stetson is actually a pretty highly regarded college academically but I agree with most of what you said

    My bad.

    Word of mouth got me.

Local hotshot - Area Code Games and all that - played with my son over the years. This kid gets full ride to Stetson. Doesn't get the love or the playing time he was always accustomed to. Familiar story, right?

Kid transfers out to another school - ends up back with my son. Kid homered Sunday, by the way.

Northern kid discrimination and didn't like the coach, he says.

He described the school that way to me.

Consider the source, right? Listening to 19 year hotshots is DD.

Been following for some time. I've never seen anyone make a prediction like this about such an obscure player and be right.

    Props

i'm pretty shocked that no GM didn't see this years ago. you can;t fake this kind of talent and not have the right numberss come along, eventually... if i was GM'ing a team i would have gone out of my way to acquire him. thing is, he might not of been available, and/or some GM's are pretty awful at their jobs, or sadly spotted it. plenty of incompetence.

GL..i have a team next year that i think has a good chance at the playoffs..and maybe more. team is way down on everyone's radar. if i think they'll be good, that usually means an O/U bet is in order as well. i really don;t want to say who it is in here. but take one guess. and if it;s right i will spill it.

    im gonna guess the muts...

I just looked at their record and im shocked that theyre around 500...next year they get Harvey back and they'll trot out Harvey/wheeler/neise/de grom...I just don't think they have enough offense to make the playoffs though...if they actually loosen up the fucking purse strings and get a decent bat or two (and not a guy like fucking granderson) they could actually bring some noise back to flushing...

I can't get over what a tremendous call Mulva made. From out of nowhere to Cy Young. One of the all time best calls.

Kluber has the most strike outs in MLB.

Just electric. He ain't just pretty either. He's a horse with as many innings pitched as anyone else in MLB.

Felix Hernandez has better ERA & WHIP. Prolly wins AL Cy Young. We'll see.

Playoffs got fun again last night. Tigers and Royals may be tied up after tonight.

Dodgers could have a little choke in them.

Dee Gordon looks awful in the field. Blew the cut off late in game. Not clutch at second base by any means.

Puig shoulda elbowed Kemp in the temple when Kemp fucked up the outfield fly ball. I don't care wether Kemp didn't hear Puig call it. It's Yasiel Puig in god mode and you are an old Matt Kemp. Back the fuck off.

Carl Crawford throws like a girl.

Of course, Puig is god - he unloads that cannon he has for an arm and throws a strike from center field to get the runner at home plate.

Puig has the most outfield assists in MLB.

I was asking myself if Mark McGwire was still the batting coach. I haven't seen him on the bench. That experiment looks like it needs to end. I would prolly prevent any further contact between McGwire and my players.

Indians pitcher Corey Kluber suffers fractured arm after being hit by line drive

    Alpha & Omega dawg.

I still marvel at some of your prospect picks.

    Any thoughts on Vlad Jr?

Not since Ohtani have I been tuning in a player’s every at bat when I can. I tune in as much to share the fan excitement as the player’s performance.

Vlad Jr.'s first rookie card sets Topps record
    https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/news/vl...ll-card-record

Kid’s only obstacle is gonna be cheeseburgers

Seriously, the attention has been so off the hook and he’s only 20. The media circus since AA has been ridiculous. Its not like Bellinger who got to work his stuff out in the obscurity of LA.

80 out of 80 hit tool grade. That’s cool.

Vlad may have to go back down to get his head right. Even Trout did.

Won my Marlins pick yesterday because I was betting against Kluber, who wasn't bad (hard to be bad against the Marlins), but he still lost.

This thread makes me feel old.

Kluber to the Yankees. $11m for 1 year.

In the broke ass Covid era does that mean Tanaka is gone?

The talent that the Indians have let go.
