After a mini-heater on my first visit (combined, I would like to think, with a little skill), can I add:

The admins don't have any doomswitch/boomswitch, UB-style hole-card cams, superuser mode, or any ability to influence the board cards. This is NoFraud Poker!

There's not much point as we can just add chips to our account. With this said I will be excluded from any prizes etc Todd may choose to hand out.

A few recommendations:

Lock down the hell out of the Windows box hosting the server code.

Make damn sure remote registry services are never running.

Consider special locking of the briggs software poker maven "database" which consists of (giggle) completely unecrypted plaintext flatfiles on the file system.

Note that the system admin password is also stored in cleartext in the registry (see above)

Dont use the API functionality, which is also a massive attack vector you could drive a bus through. Turn it off and don't set the password.

The above are just a few tips based on my own analysis of the server software I did a few weeks ago.

LOL at anyone running a real-"money" site on this code.

Oh, and to be fair,

there are no obvious "superuser" or "hole card viewing" capabilities present to the administrators. They can't see hole cards on the server short of actually running the server inside a debugger and setting memory breakpoints. But it seems if you're going to go that far to cheat, you'd actually be better off running a more robust poker server codebase. I am comfortable that this is never going to happen on nofraudpoker. (the cheating part, not the never running a better codebase)

There has been a request to add chips to a few people who already busted or came close to busting, in the interest in keeping the games going.

I will do this tomorrow. Everyone will get an additional 2000 chips to keep things fair for everyone else. This will be a pain in the ass, as I have to do it manually for all the accounts, but I'll do it.
