good god, just awful! i literally had it on for 5 minutes,and had to turn it off!!!! some jackass pimping atlantic city,,,so fukkin lol......needless to say i snap shut it off in favor of million dollar listing new york(how bad is that)

i used to look forward to wednesday nights, kinda like i looked forward to sunday football,that is to say i looked forward to 3-4 hours of talk radio maybe an hour or two of cheap mtt play with quasi friends, and of course solid banter in the chat

what a fukkin shame micon has alienated/fucked all his former partners,that were a great % of the shows, and to be quite frank his reruns of guests, or his below avg new guests(listen to the clownette thats presently pimping "revel" resort lol) are beyond laughable and not worth listening to at all!!!

please druff save us from this dribblle and bring wednesday nights back to their former radio glory!!(also please see the "appropriate 70's/80's intro music thread" for opening songs)

even if its not wednesdays PLEASE PLEASED PLEASE give us some regular quality radio content on a weekly basis(if you could also find your way to organizing a weekly radio mtt (that would be just swell also)

I have listened to about 5 minutes of radio since Todd and Brandon left. It's fucking terrible.

it's pretty evident micon needs a solid #2 to keep him in check, otherwise its fail radio. ive tried to give the kid multiple chances but im just not seeing anything stick. I did think the bit tonight with vpplayer was strong but that was completely spontaneous and wasn't because of micons doings but because of peterdc/lccf being chased down.

Honest assessment of tonight's show:

Silence segment: Boring. I like Silence but she spent the entire time talking about some new AC casino and it sounded like an infomercial.

Segment with some poker player I haven't heard of: Super boring.

Mark Newhouse talking about e-cigs: Terrible. Again, I like Newhouse, but it was an incredibly boring topic, and Newhouse is a guy who could have a lot of interesting stuff to say if you ask him the right questions.

Ylon Schwartz: Seems like a decent guy, but again, really boring and dry interview.

SrslySirius/Marco: Interesting listen, but only because of the subject matter. Micon didn't add much to it, though he surprisingly got a few good questions out and made a few good points. I did LOL when he scolded Marco for using Srsly to make money for the site and not paying him.

Vpplayer guy who knew Peter Falcone: Good segment, though again, not really Micon's doing. This dude just appeared unscheduled because he heard Micon talking about Peter.

So the first half of the show was terrible and the second half was very interesting.

The problem is that the show only seems to be good when Micon lucks into getting interesting people on the phone. A monkey could have hosted the Srsly/Marco and Vppplayer segments and it still would have made good radio (I'm not even kidding). In the absence of these good guests, the show just isn't interesting, and part of that comes from Micon having to do things alone. Adding guest-host-du-jour types like Gavin Smith doesn't really help things, because those people don't "get" DD Radio or its audience, so the whole thing comes off as awkward.

I will be making an announcement soon about the future of PFA Radio.

Yeah Sandwich your absolutely right. It was pretty funny also how he kinda made fun of himself too. Like when they played his song. Kenna said something like, "wow what a great singing voice," and then started laughing lol.

Yeah the delays were pretty ridiculous. Whenever someone was on the phone (which was A LOT), it was as if MICON was hearing his guest in real time (and responding in real time), but WE were hearing his guest 1.5 seconds delayed, but we were hearing Micon's voice in real time.

... which resulted in lots of Micon talking over his guests, awkward laughter by Micon to something we didn't hear the guest say yet, and just weird banter overall when Micon and a guest would talk back and forth.

Some people in the chat said they didn't notice any problem, but I don't believe them. Last week, even the arCHived version of the show had this problem.
