They took out the Country column in their reporting so not to bring attention to the fact the almighty USA is not dominating the WSOP even though they have 80% of the entrants.
The last event they had them in was for the 10k HU won by a Canadian.

They should give respect, however, how many of these "Canadians" that have won bracelets are former US residents that moved to Canada for online poker?
Also, Canadians playing in the WSOP are much more likely to be pro or semi-pro players than Americans.
Even if they are true Canadians they can get a whole lot more mtt experience in now online then any American can so this don't really surprise me at all. If someone told me United Kingdom was crushing at the WSOP compared to USA I wouldn't be surprised either.
Black Friday was only 2 yrs ago.
Americans switched to play live or did move to other countries temporarily to play online.
It's not like the tourneys went from 60% Americans to 10% in the past 2 yrs.

That would be like saying Isaac Haxton is Maltese. It's obvious he isn't.
There's too many Canadian players that are just American players.

I was surprised when I looked this up last week that Canada was #2 on the all-time WSOP bracelet list with 38, well ahead of the UK. I believe (didn't check everyone, but most names I didn't know) all are post-Negreanu as well, so basically from 2000 on Canada is averaging about 3 bracelets a year at the wsop
