    Post Sibling Rivalry

Up to 45% of adults have a rivalrous or distant relationship with a sibling, research indicates. People questioned later in life often say their biggest regret is being estranged from a sister or brother.

That sucks, my brother is 4 years my junior and without a doubt my best friend.

How do the rest of you get along with your siblings?

Kunt is 2 and a half years older than me. We get on pretty damn well, I'd say. It helps that we pretty much like almost all the same shit. We've both played a bunch of poker, we've seen hundreds of concerts together, we watch pretty much every UFC PPV together (along with 1-3 other friends), and we've done a lot of drugs together over the years. When I was in a band, he probably saw us play a few hundred times, as well, including the garage we started in.

All in all, I'm quite happy/lucky he puts up with me. Its probably because I make him laugh...

When I see statistics like this, it makes me cringe. Up to 45%? Up to?
    So 45% or LESS?
Meaning it could be 1% or 10% or 25% but it's certainly not over 50%?

Obviously I haven't delved into the underlying study and seen exactly what the sample size is, and WHAT population they are taking their sample from. And exactly how are they defining "rivalrous or distant"? Would be interesting to know.

And another thing... There is a difference between talking about "45% of all adult sibling pairs" vs. "45% of adults", right? In the latter formulation, if the siblings are both part of the population surveyed, they'll probably be counted for 2 yesses.

(My sister and I get along just fine, by the way!)

Maybe this "technique" could be implemented to prevent trolling from getting out of hand.

    Example---

Slim Troll: "i done be needin to talk to jewdonk - yall show some suport so dandruff will done let me talk to jewdonk on the next show - i done got some reasonin i needin to do with old jewdy"

Marty: "STAR! I'm rubber and you are glue, mothafucka."
