Ever have a shooter's sandwich? I made some a few years ago and they kicked ass. Here's a slightly different version from the ones I made:

i've seen like ten versions of that sandwich on reddit

never tried one though, i always thought the steak would be too chewy

If you are a fan of ballpark food and want to try to replicate those stadium nachos or the pretzels with cheese, this is your boy.

Are you frying the wings or baking them? I've been baking wings the last 2 Sundays, a ritual I'd like to continue throughout football season. But they haven't turned out great, to be honest. Part of that may be due to laziness. I'm making large batches. I marinate them in Frank's buffalo sauce for an hour, and cook them in the oven for about an hour at 350F. I've seen other methods online that involve higher heat, less time, and turning them, which I didn't really feel like doing. A lot of people apparently swear by steaming them first. I experimented with breading them in the middle of the week, but that sucked. Maybe a light coat of flour wouldn't hurt. I'd also like to try mixing in a little garlic to the marinade.

i wouldn't marinate them in the hot sauce first

i think that will end up being your first barrier to crispy brown skin, if you do you really should pat them dry prior to putting them in the oven

as far as cooking them in the oven, i like to steam or par-boil them prior and then finish them in the oven at like 425, turning them half way through

as far as taste goes i def prefer just to fry them but that involves a shit load of clean up so about half the time i just bake them in the oven

the most important part is the finish, sprinkle the wings with salt as soon as they come out of the oven/fryer, then toss in FRANK'S hot sauce and almost as much butter

sometimes i add a few bumps of garlic powder into the hot wing sauce

garlic is really bitter if burnt, so i would add any garlic to the sauce at the end

should have some super-moist pics of the finished product here in an hour or two

btw red devil hot sauce with butter is also trop trop

no pics but pretty sure I spent the best $5 in recent times on food

went with subways $5 faves, turkey breast on flat bread with pepperjack cheese and yes, it was toasted.

Went with the following: light lettuce, cucumber, pickle, onion, banana peppers, olives and light jalapeno. Went with a light mayo and italian dressing

$5 yall...I'm a light eater and often save. So for me this is $2.50/meal

never had the flat bread but everything else sounds on point

another subway sandwich i like is the meatball on white, pepper jack cheese toasted with black pepper, parmesan cheese and jalapenos - with either kc masterpiece or doritos chips and a sweet ice tea
