The general populace of Portland is pretty lefty to begin with, so if that is your starting point it probably isn't too difficult to ignore the mischief. From the perspective of the people of Portland ignoring Antifa mischief is probably easier to stomach than giving Trump/Fox News the W by acknowledging it or dealing with it.
