"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness." - Alejandro Jodorowsky
"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
I get it... He used swishers to make blunts. I don’t like tobacco, so back in my pothead days in college (and a few on and off after that), I never smoked a blunt. But yeah. I can see how those can be handy.
Plus, I don’t think swishers were around back then, at least not where I lived. So back in thay day, blunts were usually made from Tiparillos after breaking off the plastic mouthpiece.
Speaking of which, there was a particularly enterprising guy on my dorm floor during my sophomore year, whose older brother was a bit of pot dealer at UMass-Amherst and supplied him with excellent weed that allowed him to make a few bucks on the side. And something he did that seemed quite clever to me at the time was to almost always carry a Tiparillo box with ready-made blunts inside, but with the tips still on, so that they looked like legal items to unsuspecting passers-by when he openly handed them off to customer. This guy was a long-time art student and had developed great skill in replacing the innards of the mini-cigars with pot such that you really wouldn’t know that they were blunts unless you examined them closely.
