If you remember way back in 2016, Trump hit the campaign trail hard in the last 60 days making appearances almost every day. Hillary mostly hid out and lacked the stamina or energy to make campaign stops. It’s a big reason why Trump won. Democrats though aren’t ones who tend to learn from past mistakes so it’s great to see Trump out on the road.

I’ve been of the mind that Biden is going to sneak by in Florida for the past few weeks. I’m in the bluest part of the stare in Palm Beach and the feedback I’m getting from the suburbanites is decisively “orange man bad” more so than worry concern about the lawlessness and other issues. Not so much pro Biden than Fuck Trump. Very reminiscent of “not for Hillary” but I hate trump from 4 years ago.

Kind of just assumed that’s just the way it’s going to be. People are fed up. So much so 2 weeks ago I bet Biden at even money at a few Sportsbooks, and people around here know how seriously I take that.

I decided to take the family away for Labor Day weekend. It coincided with my wedding anniversary so it was an easy sale with Mrs Daly. We decided to go to Flagler beach. Great time really chill laidback beach town.

Every night of the weekend there was a trump rally. Dozens of people. For every Biden flag there were 25 Trump flags. Maga hats and trump clothing everywhere. Not every truck was flying a trump 2020 flag, it was probably half.... but 99% of them were flying big American flags.

Point being...... Biden better win Palm Beach, Broward and Dade by 95/5 ratio because he’s a fucking dead man walking in the rest of the state.

Trump actually has a realistic path to win. It requires a lot going right at the same time -- but does not require any single longshot feat.

Simply put, Trump can (and probably will) lose Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and even New Hampshire, and still squeak by with a win.

For this to happen, he needs to carry the other swing states he had in 2016 -- Georgia, Arizona, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Provided he takes that one swing district in Maine (1 electoral vote) which leans Republican, and carries everything else he carried in 2016 besides Michigan and PA, he will win 270-268.

While Trump is behind in most of these aforementioned states, he's within striking distance in all of them, and they will tend to move together. For example, the latest NBC News poll showed a tie in Florida, whereas Biden had been consistently ahead there for a long time.

I think Daly is right. Biden seems to be losing his grip on Florida, and recall that Trump clearly winning Florida turned out to be the surprise bellwether which indicated the upset victory Trump took in the 2016 election. I remember racing home to fire more money on Trump when I heard those Florida results rapidly changing. I knew what that meant. I remember saying to Brandon on the phone, "I think this is it. I think Trump's going to get it."'

I was very pessimistic about Trump's chances prior to that.

I'm not saying Trump is going to win, but things have been moving in his direction lately. The media is pretending that Biden has convinced people that he'll be tough on rioting and unrest, but I don't think the people are buying it.
