Steroids help you work out more / recover faster ? Do they help your hand eye coordination ? I think 3 things helped him hit 70 homers more than steroids . Different ball . Weak pitching and smaller parks.
More pitchers have been busted for steroids than hitters. If steroids help you hit the ball farther why arent pitchers throwing 110mph ? No matter the strength of a hitter there is a maximum bat speed . Unless you increase bat size/weight , which Mcgwire over the years did not ... i believe the resulting homeruns are more talent than steroids.
Btw . In the book The Year Babe Ruth hit 104 homers , he hit
50 balls over 450ft that did not leave Yankee stadium . Outs !

I think to level the playing field in sports whites should be allowed to use as many steroids as they want and black players get none. The NBA needs more redheads than just Blake Griffin.

Okay thats fine if you want to say he was treated unfairly given the time this was happening. That doesnt mean the juice wasnt good for at least 8 HR per season for big mac.
Also i havent paid hardly any attention to baseball since the early 2000s... Where does bonds rank all time using super dupermetrics if we could somehow all agree that these guys gained 0 advantage from PEDs? I would guess he’d be top 3 if not the goat.

I was about to say the same thing, but don't think that's the case...
as I understand it advanced metrics love bombs and Ks and hate walks...so while he gains huge points for the HRs, I think he loses just as many for walking so much...too lazy to look, but in the peak bonds years wasn't he walking like 190 times per year?
and while we're at it I don't get the love of the K...you whiff you have 0% chance of anything positive happening...I just cant believe that putting the ball in play in certain spots isn't worth more than whiffing...
