Astros breezed through the series against the crappy Indians, and now get to face Boston or NY well rested.

Houston really looks like the best team at the moment, regular season records be damned.

So far we haven't had any upsets in the NLDS/ALDS, and if Boston wins one more, the favorite will have taken all 4 series.

But there really were some pretty big mismatches this time.

Dodgers were way better than the Braves.

Brewers were way better than the Rockies.

Astros were way better than the Indians.

The only series which seemed competitive is NY/Boston, and indeed that's the only one left running right now.

Yes, Sanlmar, I said the postseason is a crapshoot, but this time around the best teams are also playing the best at the moment, so there's no situation where a crap team like the 2014 Giants can get inexpicably hot and win the title.

The ALCS and NLCS should both be pretty good contests, though.


I still think we are looking at a Dodgers/Astros rematch, this time with Houston having home field.
