Slept through whole game. Fuck. Sam Bradford did awesome in North Dakota last night so hopefully everyone is ok with the trade.
....or is Chicago just really god awful this year?
Interesting game PIT/PHI this coming Sunday. Rookie will finally get welcomed to the NFL.
Nobody is calling for a Chicago vs Cleveland super bowl but you are missing the trees through the forest with that line of thinking. Wentz is doing things a rookie QB shouldn't be doing. The Eagles have already run more formations in two games than Jamarcus Russel ran in 4 years with the Raiders. He's not only checking off he audibles to the right plays given the situation. He's freezing linebackers and he's looking off safeties and he is putting the ball where only his guy can catch it. He's playing like a first round franchise QB..... In his fourth year.
The NFL defines a deep TD pass as a ball that is thrown 16 yards + past the line of scrimmage, or 23 yards in the air with a 7 yard drop. Most QB if they start all 16 games have 1-2 the whole season and never have 2 in a game. Winston who is the gold standard of rookie QB since Luck came out had 4 his rookie year, 2 in his 15th game played. Wentz had two in his very first game and damn well should of had 3 if butterfingers Mathews hauls in the 43 yarder last night.
I think this kid may be the next Brady. At the very least the Eagles in all likelihood have a starter at QB for the next decade who is ready and capable of winning a super bowl. I know it seems early to make that sore of comment "based on two wins vs shit teams", but I don't think it is.

Also - as a ROY ticket holder I'm most excited that ESPN in all in on this kid already.
"The Wentz Waggon"
Plus he ain't beating his girlfriend showing up to the draft in a half shirt OSA wouldn't be caught dead wearing.
Plus he ain't the second best WR on his team (Fuller).
Have to say I haven't paid much attention to the NFL and have only seen 2 games this year (Pats/Cards and Phil/Chic) but I was I impressed with Wentz. The play Gruden went nuts over where he stood in the pocket and fired a bullet over the middle to the TE before taking a tremendous shot you don't see a lot of that from a rookie. What impressed me the most about him was the post game interview he did on set...the kid gets it and will be a bonafide star
Just as a thought I'd be looking at hedging that bet with about 1500 on Dak Prescott only for the fact that he's in the same division with Wentz. Being that they play each other twice if Dak puts up big numbers against the front runner and the Cowboys take both games it can only bode well for him and you. You also take some kind of injury out of the equation for Wentz and get decent value on the QB for "Americas Team" which you know the AP will drool all over if the Cowboys get to 10 wins. The value on him would be now because the next two games should be easy wins over Chicago and SF
That's very impressive. It looks like the Bradford trade was announced right around 11am on Sept 3. Did you immediately check the OROY lines and notice that they hadn't been updated since Wentz was expected to be a backup? And then 6 hours later they still hadn't updated the lines?
Most of the ROY haven't started until week 5-6 in recent seasons. When I heard they traded Bradford i fired light. When I read they announced Wentz was going to start week one I hit every book I had to win $10k.
In my experiance betting to win more than $10K isn't profitable because the book will just close up.
Bed shitting level holding steady at 0.0
Wentzadelphia
The D is playing incredibly well too. It's like a normal paced game is easier for them now after being under Kelly for 3 seasons.
Championship!
It doesnt need its own thread but anyone else wondering wtf happened to kelvin benjamin today? 1 target, no catches. He was looking like an easy WR1.
