Here is something possibly against TOS for WSOP where they favor a player who has great results but probably isn't known mainstream.

HOURS into the WSOP yesterday Chance Kornuth tries tweeting that he doesn't want to play this day and he wants his stack picked up by WSOPTD etc... and is tweeting @kevmath and some others who work for WSOP.

He says he would like to play today instead. Many people tell him the rule is if you get picked up you can get reenter the same tournament( But I believe they do refund you once for this)

Kornuth tweets today about how his day is going so far. I tweeted at him "so they didn't force you to play yesterday " He says nope.

Bunch of people believe this is a rules violation because his stack was just blinded off for hours yesterday and he had it picked up and then got to reenter today.

Maybe someone knows if this is not supposed to be allowed ? If it is not allowed then it is clear favoritism towards a player who is known on the circuit. I don't think they would do this for Mike Smith from Idaho.

Stalling had become a big theme on twitter by pros during this ME, and of course expert staller Jordan Cristos is in the middle of it:

Klodnicki eases into some gentle criticism of Cristos, but it begins to turn more confrontational by the end. "You gotta do us a favor," Klodnicki begins, asking Cristos to speed up his preflop decisions. "You take 15 seconds every single time," he says.

"I get 15 seconds in a $50 online tournament," Cristos says. "This is the Main Event."

"I'm just saying," Klodnicki says. "You have to speed up your preflop actions. Otherwise, when you're in a big hand and you actually do need to think, I'm going to clock you after 15 seconds."

The two continue to pass the conversation back and forth as the next hand is dealt out. It comes to Cristos, and he pauses briefly after checking his cards. Klodnicki is clearly uncomfortable as he watches Cristos operate, and he bites his tongue for just a few seconds before he can't help it anymore. "Clock," he says after maybe 15 seconds.

The floor is called over, and things begin to escalate a bit. The floorman tells Cristos that it's the second time he's been called for the same issue today. "If I have to keep coming over here, you're going to keep having your clock reduced, all the way down to zero. And then when I have to come over again, your hand is just dead."

Inebriated Player Gets Booted from $1.1k Little One for One Drop

A player in the $1.1k Little One for One Drop, who claimed to be named Cory A. Cunningham, got belligerent and had to be escorted off the tournament floor by security Thursday night.
Cunningham was eventually disqualified from the tournament but received his buy-in back.
The incident began after Cunningham and an opponent at his table had been sparring back and forth. There was a disagreement over spending too much time in a hand, which led to Cunningham yelling “Time! Time! Time!”
    Security Called to the Floor

Tournament director Jack Effel tried to reason with Cunningham but he got progressively more aggressive as time went on.
By this point a crowd had gathered around Cunningham’s table and action grinded to a halt in the tournament. Security was called to the table. Cunningham screamed at security to “get the f*** away.”
Cunningham was yelling at the dealer to show him what his opponent had but she put the cards into the muck.
Eventually Cunningham had to be physically dragged away from the table by a couple players while security assisted.

I also had a friend 86'd from the Rio last summer after having a few too many bourbons and telling a TD to "fuck off" drunkenly while serving a penalty for swearing in a $285 Deep Stack (he did get his money back, as this player did after Effel showed some rare leniency). They have a quick banhammer for stuff like that over there.

How far into the tournament was this?

Surprised he got his money BACK, but perhaps the $111k buyin would have been a PR nightmare for Caesars (and the One Drop charity) if he made a big deal over it, so they just kicked it back.

I bet they wouldn't have refunded him if this happened at a $1500 event.

    I can't imagine folding quads.

There's no way that's possibly justified.

So I take a bad beat in the second to last level of the night losing 70% of my stack in a wsop event, order a bunch of shots, beers, etc. and start acting belligerent a little while before it's time to go to get a full refund.

    Seems fair!

Did you read the article? I thought it ridic until fillowing his reasoning about the betting pattern, table read, and that this was in the Main Event. Because, as he said, he would have made that call in a cash game or other tourney. And afterward, the reaction of his opponent when he folded strongly supports it.

Mind you, I would have auto-donkey called. But that's why I'm not a pro mostly-NLHE player like Bowker, with or without lifetime tourney winnings of over $2.8m to date.

Even great players make mistakes, and that fold was a mistake. Kwob is just another tourney donk these days, prolly glad to finally have his name in a poker headline.
