You can also play "Not So Ugly Deuces" for 99.73% average return, but that strategy isn't as straightforward and you might make mistakes. Google "Jacks or Better Strategy" and go to the result of wizardofodds.com. You can print it out or just have it up on your phone while you're playing. Venetian isn't as good. You are best off on Double Double Bonus there for 98.98% average return.
2) I'm not sure what you're looking for as far as money-saving tips. You'll typically get better value eating off-strip, but it can be a pain in the ass to get there. The more "touristy" things you do, the worst value you will get for your money. If going to shows, make sure to ask about "casino tickets" and when they are released, and how to get them. If they say you can't get them, ask again and say that you know you can, and express a willingness to come right before showtime to check if necessary. You won't get a bargain, but you'll get the best seats in the house. If you use your Rewards Credits or Express Comps (or any other comp point system) to pay for food, you don't pay the 8.1% sales tax on whatever portion you pay with points.
I won't be there from June 7-11. You'll just miss me.
