Surprised there wasn't a thread on this already but seriously. Why couldn't Lynch wait till today to announce his retirement. Instead the asshole tweets towards the end of the Super Bowl.. Couldn't stand not being the center of attention I guess. Don't get me wrong he's a hell of a player but even Peyton Manning didn't announce he was done last night and hes a lock to be retiring..

I got the opposite reaction from it. That was the best possible time to post that to avoid the immediate media onslaught, because every sportswriter is talking Super Bowl yesterday, and really for the next few days. If he wanted maximum exposure, he'd have waited until like thursday of this week.
