***Questionnaire of how we could improve the HU tournament***

Congrats to Sandwich for taking down the first HU tournament.

I want to ask you guys/ladies, how you think we can improve the next one.

I liked the double elimination style of the tourney, yet it did get a little confusing at times.

Next time should we simply keep it to one day? Should we raise the buy in? Did people have a hard time finding out where to go, and who to play?

Should we keep it on NO Fraud? Or maybe move it? Note if we moved it to a site, we would have to play single elimination.

I am open to any/all suggestions.
Of all the money e'er I had, I spent it in good company

    Double-Elimination was good
One Day would be preferable for me
$10 was good as it allows everyone to play
    Keep it on PFA

As far as finding your table, would it be possible to have one person in charge of announcing the next matchup in the thread and then letting those 2 players sit at any table (instead of a specific table number)?

One suggestion I would offer is to double the starting chips (you could offset this by bumping the blinds a bit quicker if need be) it just seemed there was no wiggle room even in the first and second level, and you were playing for stacks almost any hand that went to showdown with betting on three streets.

Just a thought: What about having an ongoing PFA HU ladder?

Cap it at 16 entrants to prevent certain people from getting byes. Do it all in 1 day and raise the buy-in to $25.

    imo

But I have to disagree again on the blinds, so 100 wasn't enough, are you suggesting 200?

I notice a lot of quick games, but all but 1 of mine went 1/2 hour or close to it, and the 2 w/sandwich close to 40 minutes.
The HU SNG on FTP were 50.
I've never had more than 50 in a HU online tourney.

Even 150 would be good. Yeah the games can last a half hour, but at a certain point it was just because people were going with a push/shove strat. Like I said, I would rather have the blinds go up quicker, but have a couple levels to splash around a little more. Just my preference, I'm not married to the idea

I thought the structure was fine. I wouldn't mess with it.

I think the way you named the tables in the second round was much better (ex: Tablename = Game Number).

The buy in was straight, but i'd be for upping a tad, I didn't care for the bye rounds. (I know it was random)

Also let's do it on a fucking weekend man, lot's of us have to work and starting it at 9;30east is tough.

    Just my two cents.

    (dbl elimination was cool, too)

This was a good fun starter tourney.

For me a few improvements would be:

Limit numbers to 16 or 32 to avoid prelims/byes. Maybe have a reserve list for no shows, and anyone who misses out gets first shot at the next one.
    Do all in one day
Slightly more starting chips (2.5k?) with slightly quicker levels (8 mins?)
    Earlier start time

The table names stuff is easily changed. Also I like the idea of a HU ladder - not sure how it would funded / paid though.

I like all of belly busters ideas. I also would be down for some pay to play tourneys.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

The next tourney is a $500 buy in. Vegas1369 will be holding all the funds.

I'm down. If Vegas just ships me his name and address plus a phone number (ups requires for overnight check deliveries) I will mail out a check.
