Jeb Bush: “people need to work longer hours.”
Jeb Bush: “people need to work longer hours.”
"You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole; you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."
Already the most misquoted line of the whole election cycle.
You know he was saying that there were 6.5 million people who were full-time, who now work part-time since the recession, not by choice, but because the jobs haven't come back.
Those people aren't counted in unemployment but they are under employed, and they do need to work longer hours in order to have disposal income and help the economy get moving again.
Full quote: “My aspiration for the country and I believe we can achieve it, is 4 percent growth as far as the eye can see. Which means we have to be a lot more productive, workforce participation has to rise from its all-time modern lows. It means that people need to work longer hours” and, through their productivity, gain more income for their families. That's the only way we're going to get out of this rut that we're in.”
"You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole; you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."
Another election cycle of "What Bush really meant was.....". There's a whole class of Republican strategists that have made a career of being moron whisperers.
You do understand that by now posting the entire quote you are showing how ridiculous the headline was? Every news site ran that "quote" as a headline yesterday and it's completely misrepresented the point he was making. I'm not even a Bush guy and I think he got done dirty.
How epic would it be if Trump got Sarah Palin to run with him as vice on his 2016 ticket ?
it's hilarious watching these tree hugging faggots spin out of control because he ripped Mexico, and how he is doesn't give a fuck about the backlash lol
Looks like he's running pretty good right now, and his growing popularity should tell you all you need to know about how a lot of the people in the country are sick and tired of this politically correct nonsense.
Yes of course he's a huge douche, but that's what makes him Trump.
The guy shoots from the hip and doesn't 'sanitize' his statements like virtually every politician in Washington.
Personally, I think he's awesome.
GO DONALD !!
Trump/Palin in 2016
Some facts:
America ranks 15th out 40 in the OECD countries for most hours worked annually by individuals
Out of the top 5 GDP countries America is number 1 in the world for most hours worked annually by individuals by a full 80 hours per year (2 extra weeks of vacation)*
Out of the top 10 GDP countries in the world America is number 2 to only Russia*
We don't need to work more, we need to work less and get paid more.
* = (China is not part of OECD so data not provided but the best guess is higher than US)
The government offers its employees 5 weeks of vacation a year in the majority of cases. Yet the government wants US to work more?
EDIT: One more thing worthy of note. American's on average work over 80 hours more than the JAPANESE. Yes, the same Japan that had to make companies start offering employees bonuses for actually using their vacation and the same Japan that worked so hard that they actually have a name for dying or getting sick from overworking.
why run if you dont have a chance in hell to win?
whats the upside?
Slava Ukraini!
who gives a fuck about his qualifications ?
he can't possibly do any worse than the current gang of nitwits trying to secure the GOP nomination...or any of the current hypocritical, lying sacks of shit currently in Washington for that matter.
I'd rather see Trump in office than any 'career politician' who predictably spews the same broken record and choreographed rhetoric feeding the American public bullshit
Trump/Palin would be hilarious and entertaining. The U.S. is already well on it's way to being flushed down the shitter.....so lets at least enjoy the ride, and watch the circus.
If you want to get a real sense of just how ignorant and uninformed the American voting age public is, just check out one of the segments where Jimmy Kimmel does the 'man on the street', and asks people the most basic questions about government, issues etc
It's just jaw dropping how many people in the U.S. are fucking clueless, and can't even tell you who the vice president is.
These are the 'responsible voters' I think LLL is referring to, and coincidentally, the same core group of voters that are pandered to by politicians who know all too well they can sell their snake oil, and the majority of them chug it down like Gatorade
