I will say this. CNN is garbage. A news outlet who I share a similar political agenda with. Has now become unwatchable to me. That takes some doing.

But I have watched plenty of Fox News too. And they're the only English speaking news channel I have ever seen who peddle outright lies to its viewers on a consistent basis. Pretty much in the same way a British tabloid newspaper would. (The Sun - Express - Mail - Mirror - etc.)

why not? france canned 30k right wing accounts for "hate speech" before their election. scammers probably getting an early start suppressing 30k pro trump trolls. could be enough to influence 20k voters in Michigan next time.

I don't know the law in France but the government couldn't do such a thing here. Facebook could, but I'm not sure they should be allowed to. Mixed feelings on it. But it is legal.

On top if which, he has a ton of crime connects, which goes with being anything successful in Russia, so that may be why he's asking for immunity.

I'm more interested in Manafort/Trump's response to whatever testimony he provides than the testimony itself; if they issue a blanket denial and say its all bullshit, I might actually believe them because lying to congress = die in a concrete box. But if they give some squirmy legal tap dance where they try to pick apart the nuts and bolts of Oleg's testimony... then you know its time to short their fuckin stock.

the washington post is reporting that US intelligence intercepted communications between the russian ambassador and the kremlin, in which the ambassador said that jared kushner wanted the russians to set up a secure line of communication between the trump team and moscow in russian diplomatic facilities located in the US, in order to prevent their communications from being monitored by US intelligence.

apparently the russians have been known to play games with us when they suspect they're being monitored, so this might never have occurred. it also makes jared just sound like a moron, so not sure what to think of this. hard to believe he would be this stupid, but i also have no idea why a 36-year old slum lord with no experience in anything other than real estate is the president's chief adviser. so maybe he is just that clueless.
