If we were to travel back in time to what actually happened, I am guessing what we would actually see was him doing a little grab ass, which may have even been viewed as consensual from his drunken perception by him at the time, and certainly was viewed more sympathetically in that time and place as "boys will be boys" behavior.
I am also guessing the Ford truly felt violated and humiliated by the incident, and it stayed with her, and she built it up in her memory as an actual attempted rape.
As with most partisan political infighting, I think everyone comes out a loser in this one, and we move on to next weeks spectacular political event.

Possible. I’m guessing that he did experience some blackouts. Whether he experienced one on that occasion (assuming Ford remembers correctly) can never be known. What is pretty clear, though, is that he is a partisan hack who should never be allowed on the Supreme Court. We are a sad and magical time in history - where we no longer need to feel shame for our differences (race, religion, etc.) and where we can collectively all feel shamed to be American. & it is even more so for a woman....

I have a close friend who's father was a supreme court justus in Canada
fuck was he a prick arrogant even when he wasn't sitting in court every one was to call him your honour, your worship etc (we called him to his back Judge Pudge) He was a real slimy fuck too he cheated on his wife and left her and there four children for a court clerk 30 years younger.
I guess he was a good judge but he didn't hold him self to the same rules as he was judging accused people too.
he lied cheated and eventually stole 100k from his exwifes estate after she was wasted away with dementia, he eventually died and left his children Nothing.
