See, this is basically the biggest issue I have against the death penalty - (aside from the obvious fact that it costs taxpayers a SHITLOAD more overall for someone on death row vs serving life).
I am not a psycho crazy nutjob myself, but I can imagine that if I were to get a maximum sentence with pretty much no chance of seeing the outside ever again, I would probably want to be put out of my misery instead of serving multiple decades in a cell along with all of the ahem 'benefits' that come with it. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would see a lifetime in solitary as a
tremendously bigger punishment than the gas chamber. All I view the death penalty as, is the
easy way out. There are plenty of people in this world who murder and other shit, and don't give a shit if they die (and
sometimes prefer that they
would die) anyway, so why the fuck are we giving them the easy way out...and paying MORE tax dollars to boot??
