In general terms it’s a tough sport to beat anyway and it’s at a time of year when it’s even tougher. That was the only point.
My NCAAF record falls off after week 6 every year and picks up again in bowl season. These sort of things help me out when I think about bet sizing.

Your call on Vladdy Jr is definitely HOF. He lost weight and dedicated himself to the game. I knew it would translate to a great year, but didn't fathom he would be the AL MVP other than a freak show pitcher who also DH's.
Jays -180 heavy chalk. If you don't like the chalk go with -1.5 or parlay it. I tried to call the Jays going on a heater about ~15-20 games too early. This time around I have been nailing it with parlays or ml. They are the real deal and are going to fight for the playoffs.
Adding the Phillys +120. Might be able to find better if you look hard. Don't mind + money on coinflips (IMO)
-Price fails in the playoffs. Phillies are hot in the last 10, hot at home and Price could falter.
-Dodgers are great at home and just "good" on the road.
Another Jays note. Stripling (who sucked early on) has been pitching well. I'm kinda worried about his abdominal discomfort last night. Hopefully he just had stomach cramps or nothing that will keep him out longer term. We need some more quality starts from him, and maybe a move to the bullpen if we squeak into the playoffs.

Note that DeScalfani had two bad starts back-to-back, then went on the DL. Then they diagnosed him with "shoulder fatigue". Now, after a 10-day stay, he's back, supposedly better. Do you trust him to have a good outing? Austin Gomber, by the way, has been very good as of late, pitching well in 3 of his 4 last starts, and having a similar pattern prior to being on the DL himself, which he got off in mid-July. He can have his blowup bad outings, but usually you're getting either a solid 6 or something dominant.
