I'm not concerned about people dying either. There are all kinds of causes of death, this is just one more. I'm sorry for the loss and sickness anyone has experienced but there is little anyone can do beyond taking the vaccine to control this thing. There wont or at least should not be additional shut downs or lockdowns and kids being forced out of school should be the absolute last resort. So why should we be concerned or worried? There is nothing left we can do but hope it doesnt come for us or the ones we love. If you're worried about the death rate keep your kids from school, wear a mask constantly and close down your own business if thats what you think will work for you and your family.Quote:

You can usually be on safe ground by taking the opposite stance from the WHO on medical issue conflicts between the developed nations and the Third World. This issue is no exception. WHO does not want developed nations to offer booster shots while some 3rd World people go totally unvaccinated. It would be medically irresponsible for developed nations to not offer its most at risk citizens the best medical care available.

Other than minimal second hand effects, generally a smoker only kills himself. But I don’t doubt you’d have millions of smoking denialists fighting about it all day in the face of all evidence. You’d have politicians lighting up on the house floor to show how nuts they are to their supporters. People starting to smoke out of solidarity. People fighting kids in stores when they light up. We are at that level of stupidity and denial.
