After this story broke in the WaPo, everybody asked the same question: "Who the fuck is funding O'Keefe?"


In response to that, O'Keefe made an appeal asking the public for money. But everybody just laughed and called it a scam.

But to me, it's a clear diversion from the fact that's he's already being heavily funded by those trying to quash the Moore allegations. And it seems to have worked.

One of the things that came up in triage after the election was that Obama effectively ditched the DNC during both of his presidential runs and formed his own grass-roots campaign group, basically cutting the DNC out of the equation entirely. So when Hillary turned to the DNC to do their job, she found out the hard way that most of the relevant info was locked away in the (now defunct) Obama org coffers.

So yeah the case can be made that with Obama essentially merging his grass-roots campaign infrastructure with the DNC's, there is a lot of potential there.

Someone in an earlier post asked what is wrong with America right now. I think this post encapsulates what is wrong pretty well. Americans are literally wishing for bad things to happen to America as long as they perceive it benefitting their "team" (in this case party, but it always isn't strictly along party lines) over the other side.

Everything is too divisive right now. Everyone just wants to "win" and no-one cares about what is good or right for the country and its people.

This holds true for both sides of the political spectrum.

I know Trump becoming president wasn't a good thing. But I think the last year and the next 3 could have gone a whole lot better if everyone just rolled with it and made the best of it, instead of half the country, including the MSM, trying their hardest to sabotage his presidency, and actively trying to make everything worse.

The funniest example of this today is we hear all the stories of Muslim women from Western world who went to Syria to join Isis and become part of the Holy Caliphate (or whatever they call it). And predictably many of them just become sex slaves and are gang raped, which is a perfectly acceptable social norm for a society that is trying to emulate the "Golden Age of Islam". And then when they are liberated they are on the first flight back to the West, but instead of reevaluating their theological position, they just double down and say it was their faith that got them through their ordeal.
