It ran tonight on Adult Swim, again unannounced. Just showed up in the time slot of Bob's Burgers.
Anyway, I watched the copy I downloaded. Pretty good start to season 3.
Definitely an action-packed episode. I guess not as funny or catchy as ones like "Get Schwifty", but they jammed a lot of plot into those 22 minutes.

sooooo bit of bad news, the not so much 'portal gun to ass land', it is much, much more pull a bunch of levers and shit before the time expires.
it is also priced just a hair less than actual AAA games from professional studios, which is basically insult to injury.
buying it anyway but im definitely going to be making a thread about how its donkdown.
So I finally finished season two last night..... what a great fucking show.
so the vr game dropped and its $30 and lasts about an hour and the reviews are basically fan boys making references to R&M jokes on one side and people earnestly wondering what the fuck justified a $30 price tag for what is basically a very dumb game on the other.
i wont be spending a penny on this until steam has it on sale for at least half off its sticker price. an average AAA ps4 game costs 2x as much as this and features 60x more play time. i mean, honestly..
had seen a few minutes of this show here or there over the last few years, finally saw 2 full eps last night. I'm in.

It’s been roughly an eternity since the last season of “Rick and Morty” (or more accurately, roughly under two years).
The delay for the third season has gone on so long that co-creator Dan Harmon is now worried that fans are speculating the Adult Swim’s animated show won’t be coming back at all. “Rick and Morty” debuted the season three premiere on April Fool’s, but since then there’s essentially been radio silence on the subsequent episodes.
So to quell online rumors that he’s been fighting with co-creator Justin Roiland or that the show is doomed, Harmon wrote a statement truncated into tweets this morning. This apparently isn’t like the 2012 situation with Harmon’s former show, “Community,” when the NBC network and Sony ousted him, leaving a carcass of the television program to decay through a horrid Harmon-less season.
Harmon and Roiland are just taking forever to perfect this thing.
“But the truth in this case is so very boring,” wrote Harmon. “I will put it to you as objectively as I can ... The reason S3 took long is because it took long to write, because it was S3 of a show that we were scared to make worse than S2 or S1.”
Fair enough. It’s still entirely unclear when this wonderful show is coming back though.

First episode was decent, though Adult Swim really made it a pain in the ass to watch it.
Second and fifth episodes were very forgettable.
"Pickle Rick" (the third episode) was the best so far, and was one of the more unique and innovative of the series. The episode which followed it, "Vindicators 3" was also very good. It wasn't as creative as "Pickle Rick", but it was funnier.
Those two episodes were written by women (in fact, "Pickle Rick" was written by one woman), so great job. Females definitely out-writing the males so far this season.
Just watched the little vulture.com short posted above. Amusing, but I think they would have done better releasing this when Rick and Morty was off the air for awhile, thus throwing people a little bone. On the vulture.com thing, I saw Sarah Chalke for the first time, who voices Beth, and she looks excellent for 40.

so at the end of the episode where the evil morty escapes, there is this super evocative theme song that begins playing, and it always stuck with me because its kinda fucking great.
welp, if im not mistaken, tonight i stumbled across chopin's Op. 55, No. 1 in F minor. Andante, and its got more than a passing resemblance to that tune.
