honestly i have no idea how we got to this point; diddy is claiming diminished mental capacity, specifically that he was too drunk/high to know what he was doing was illegal.


which apparently is a disaster trainwreck of a defense because he had a limited period of time to alert the prosecution that this was going to be his defense and none of his team did so, plus its supposed to be accompanied by a doctors opinion backing up the claim and literally zero doctors have examined him.

beyond those specific charges, nothing really met the bar for a guilty verdict.


hes probably looking at 2 years for the car and 4 year for the assaults on the low end. so maybe 12 years total on the extreme high end of the spectrum. probably more like out in 6.

diddys attorney asked for a mistrial today, no word beyond that.
