This years Superbowl should be AFC Winner vs NFL REFS cause they are controlling the outcomes of these NFC games.
The worst call and if not a bad rule. Together with a host of bad NFL rules. Lions call was disgusting too.
if you like athletics, that was a fucking ballsy call and a spectacular catch.
But refs & rules is what is discussed more than the actual play on the field. Refs & rules seems to be what determines winners & losers in this sport
Druff roll with me suns under 208.
Finally one of my halftime bets is going well.
59 points in the 3rd quarter. Just need 38 in the 4th and I win the over.
I'm not sure why it was only 96.5. That's an insanely low halftime over for two teams with averageish scoring/points allowed, but whatever. Looks like I was right.
Atlanta up by 12. Sorry now that I didn't go with the Atlanta -0.5 at the half, but they just had a bad 2nd quarter, and I'm like 0-3 on "doubling my bet" on the same at halftime, so I talked myself out of it. Obv still rooting for it to win because I want to win my game bet which is almost the same!
That ref Statetore should be made to give the public a lecture on what exactly is a "football move". Apparently taking 3 steps and diving for the end zone is not....
So now Atlanta up by 26 and I feel stupid for doubting myself and not betting on the half.
But I need 2 points in the next 3:49 for the over, so at least I will go 2-0 on this thing, which is great after yesterday's massacre.
real talk i heard bens mom calls you the flaccidcre
The reversal last week was bad but one guy saw it one way and I am ok with them botching that because it cannot be reviewed.
The problem this week is the guy caught it IN BOUNDS (which makes it deff from the calvin Johnson catch few years back) 2 feet down and made a move and then went to the ground.
How can they review this and fucking blow it? This was almost as bad as when Polamolu scored in OT 5 years or so back and they said you cannot advance a fumble in overtime or something like that
you must be watching a diff play. I say a catch a tuck, 2 steps , goes to the ground and ball out
Its no diff than a RB taking a handoff and fumbling, he had control

I thought Calvin was robbed a few years back and could be making the spike motion from the ground just like I think Dez was robbed today.
People can say well that is the rule but it's fucking retarded and should have been changed long ago.
It was the rule in the end zone when it happened to calvin
What makes this play different it is in bounds. Once you catch the ball and have control the play is live. I think Dez caught the ball took 2 steps and the play was live. Once he has the 2 feet down and is moving forward it is a reception. What happens when he goes to the ground is up for debate whether he fumbles on his own when going down or a forced fumble occurs.
I agree the situations and rules are different but they both shouldn't exist. As for Dez he did take a few steps then it can be argued he extended for the TD which that caused the bobble/fumble motion afterward. If the catch happened without him diving up in the air coming down like he did or being able to take maybe one more step this play wouldn't even have been argued.
These rules also will never take into consideration how big the hands of Dez and Calvin are where a lot of other receivers may not have control of balls they do even if it appears wobbly (if that makes sense).
All I will say is the refs have way too much control in the current state of the NFL today and it's ruining the game.
His career was good but time for Peyton to hang it up.
Hit 3/4 of my picks (see my earlier post in this thread) and with the colts moneyline coming through picked up a decent win this weekend. Will have championship picks up later this week.
First that nfl game and now my under is gonna get boned if Memphis can't make a shot for no ot
Took over 206 in king cavs
Wow, looks like you did get boned. Glad I missed your post because I loved that pick.
Anyway, Kobe was announced sitting tonight, so now everyone is hammering the Blazers. Honestly I would prefer a better line with Kobe than a worse line with no Kobe. There are even arguments to be made that the Lakers are now better without him.
In any case, the line jumped 1/2 point in the moments between when I selected the bet for -6 and clicked PLACE BET, so now I'm stuck with -6.5 -105.
Still wanted it, because I think the Blazers are going to beat them hard this time after almost losing to the Lakers in Portland.
Pats and Sea both -7
Druff im with you Blazers -5.5
Time for the rookie Side Bets and Totals to get pushed aside. The super bowl is coming and the real bets are starting to circulate. I haven't had a losing super bowl in 6 years and I don't plan on starting now.
Blake Shelton - 2015 Super Bowl - How Long Will it Take Him to Sing the National Anthem (From first note starts until he completes saying Brave) (Must sing for action)
1:25.5 (Over is juiced as of now).
My buddy who is big into music says 1:25 is flying though the anthem and the over is the right play.

Just a bad bad bad bad awful rule. Hopefully because this happened to such a popular team in the third largest spotlight the rules committee will change the rule of what a catch is when a player is headed to the ground.
Agreed that Calvins should be a TD but according to that rule it wasn't
They applied that rule to DEZ and they shouldn't have. What Dez did is no different than Manning dropping back, hitting julius thomas in stride having him take 7 steps and then diving and losing control after he had possesion and ran with it.
Actually there is a major difference (In the eyes of the rules as written). Dez was headed to the ground. Diving forward towards the endzone does not mean he stopped his glide path to the ground and thus he needs to maintain control. In your example there were steps taken and then he went to the ground.
People are running around yelling about "The Dez Bryant Rule" or "The Calvin Johnson Rule". All this fucking nonsense started back in 2000 and the real name is the "Bert Emanuel Rule".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bert_Emanuel
That was the day that music died. That was the day the started taking interpretation away from the refs and now you see the results. in 1999 that was a catch 99/100 times. Today well "the book says different". Trust me - refs hate this rule.
Ok if Daly says I am wrong then I am wrong, he knows more about this shit than the rules committee
Common sense would obv make that a catch, but the rule is the rule and the problem is all his momentum is taking him to the ground as he catches the ball so he MUST hold onto to the ball as he hits the ground, period. The rule was applied correctly.
BTW- I bet colts, but it was legit hard to watch P. Manning out there. His arm strength has been gone for a while now, but it appears that his accuracy, decision making, and even his limited in-pocket mobility/pocket presence have all abandoned him as well. Was kinda sad to watch.
Lakers held close to Portland for 3 quarters, but the Blazers' superiority (specifically Lillard) kicked in, and game finished 106-94.
Was in a bit of danger late when it was 98-91, but Lillard just took over and pwned them silly.
3-0 day today.
Weird weekend:
Friday: 2-0-1
Saturday: 0-4
Sunday: 3-0
So that's what I call a "sportsbetting sandwich". Two good days with an awful one in between, and all together went 5-4-1, which is essentially about what I've been running.
Now 68-61-5.
I don't believe you are wrong- You can not assume his momentum is the reason he goes to the ground. You can not assume when officiating. If your assuming anything how about the tripping/contact of the green bay player sending him to the ground? Watch the replay -- there is contact by the defender to the legs. Looks like a catch and down by contact ( tackle ) to me
Two NBA picks today:
Houston -6.5 at Brooklyn: Two teams going in opposite directions. Houston has won 3 in a row, and is 26-11 overall. Brooklyn has dropped 5 in a row, and is having a hard time managing 90 points. They even lost to Philadelphia recently.
New Orleans -5 -105 at Boston: While the Pelicans are a highly-inconsistent, .500 club, they are facing a bad Boston team which is 2-9 in its last 11.
Bet them both.
