PHOENIX — A juror in the Jodi Arias trial was dismissed Tuesday after defense lawyers claimed the woman had made prejudicial comments in front of other jurors.

Here in Phoenix theres more to the story then that even. This juror was nearly bounced earlier for misconduct during the trial for possibly actually trying to 'coach' Arias when she was on the witness stand. There were statements made that she was gesturing in a subtle attempt to Arias to guide her while answering questions. Heres what was reported here locally regarding this juror.
Tuesday may not have been the first time Juror #5 in the trial of Jodi Arias has been accused of improper conduct.
The juror in question, a married white woman in her 30s with multi-colored hair, was dismissed without explanation on Tuesday morning .
According to a motion filed Sunday by the admitted killer’s defense team , "statements Juror 5 made in front of her fellow jurors amounts to misconduct."
We do not know what those comments were, and likely won’t find out since the records are now sealed.
But we do know, this is not the first time the juror has been flagged in the court room.
In court records, we found a transcript of a phone call made to Judge Sherry Stephen’s division phone at 8:36 a.m. on February 23.
According to the transcript, the caller claims there are reports that the juror needs to be watched.
“The one with multi-colored hair is attempting to coach Arias from the jury box. She shakes her head no, no, no to tell Jodi not to answer a question,” the caller alleged in the message on Stephens' voicemail.
The caller then asks the judge if the alleged actions are permissible and if it should be looked into.
The caller continues on to say that “it’s the woman with pink and blue hair and she’s trying to coach Arias, trying to influence Arias’ answers from the jury…”

guilty first degree
Good job, jury. I think she actually believed that she was going to get off.
A jury Wednesday found Jodi Arias guilty of killing her one-time boyfriend in Arizona.
Arias, 32, was charged with murder in the 2008 death of Travis Alexander. As the guilty of first-degree murder verdict was being read, Arias began crying.

"if i can't have you, nobody will" was the motive imo
From AP article last night:
"Jurors will return to court Thursday to begin the next phase of the trial that could set the stage for Arias receiving a death sentence.
It's a punishment that Arias herself says she wants, telling a TV station minutes after her conviction that she would "prefer to die sooner than later."
"Longevity runs in my family, and I don't want to spend the rest of my natural life in one place," a tearful Arias told Fox affiliate KSAZ. "I believe death is the ultimate freedom and I'd rather have my freedom as soon as I can get it.""
Why does this bitch get access to the media?
I kind of tuned out this trial for the last 3-4 weeks, because after hearing the juror questions, it seemed a settled matter that she was toast. I signed up to receive a text from the Phoenix Fox affiliate for when they came to a verdict.

They must have taken advantage of their opportunity, because I rarely get sales/solicitation calls on my cell. I had 17 missed messages when I turned my phone on today. One from someone I know and 16 bs telemarketing calls. So irritating, going to have to change number if it persists for a few days as I imagine once they sell your number, you are fucked.
See, this is basically the biggest issue I have against the death penalty - (aside from the obvious fact that it costs taxpayers a SHITLOAD more overall for someone on death row vs serving life).
I am not a psycho crazy nutjob myself, but I can imagine that if I were to get a maximum sentence with pretty much no chance of seeing the outside ever again, I would probably want to be put out of my misery instead of serving multiple decades in a cell along with all of the ahem 'benefits' that come with it. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would see a lifetime in solitary as a tremendously bigger punishment than the gas chamber. All I view the death penalty as, is the easy way out. There are plenty of people in this world who murder and other shit, and don't give a shit if they die (and sometimes prefer that they would die) anyway, so why the fuck are we giving them the easy way out...and paying MORE tax dollars to boot??
(CNN) -- Jodi Arias was "especially cruel" when she stabbed, shot and nearly decapitated her ex-boyfriend in 2008, a jury in Arizona found on Wednesday.
The jury's decision means Arias, 32, will face the possibility of the death penalty in the next phase of her murder trial.

I followed none of this case. The only reason this is being covered is because she is a white semi-hot chick. She also liked it up the ass which adds an element.
If she were black and killed her dealer, nobody would care, that is a fact.
Your comparison is totally wrong. Travis Alexander wasn't breaking the law.
Also, read up on this case. Initially Arias didn't even claim to be involved. She said it was a "home invasion". Watching her build lie upon lie and then go with this defense is the reason most people cared.
You post such uninformed shit sometimes.
Jodi Arias, who said after her murder conviction she would prefer death to life imprisonment, stood before jurors Tuesday and pleaded for her life instead, asking them not to punish her family for her actions.

She's going to get the DP. I can't see it going any other way. Especially since she actually asked for it at one point.
Personally, I still would prefer for some of these fuckers to rot in solitary for the rest of their life, rather than giving them the easy way out. Not to mention that it costs way fucking less than euthanizing them.
(CBS/AP) -- After launching deliberations Tuesday afternoon, a jury weighing whether or not Jodi Arias will be sentenced to death has announced they are unable to reach a unanimous decision.

Have no fear unlike other states if the Jury gets hung and cant decide this doesn't automatically mean she gets to live. AZ law says if the 1st jury cant decide on death or life they will actually pick a new jury for the penalty phase and try again.. Now if that jury gets hung also THEN the bitch lives unfortunately.. Yes technically she could get 25 to life but given the facts of the case the judge giving her that instead of flat life without parole (yes she has the choice) would be highly unlikely and probably lead to her being put in judicial purgatory in the state.
(CNN) -- An Arizona jury Thursday said it was unable to reach a unanimous agreement and would be unable to decide what penalty Jodi Arias should receive for killing her ex-boyfriend.
Judge Sherry Stephens declared a mistrial for the penalty phase of the trial. That means a new jury will be chosen, but the first-degree murder conviction still stands.

It was only a matter of time before the Jodi Arias saga became a made-for-TV movie, courtesy of Lifetime.
On Thursday, the network announced “Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret” will hit the small screen in June.
The flick will star “Lost” actress Tania Raymonde as Arias and Jesse Lee Soffer, of “The Mob Doctor,” as Travis Alexander.

The afthermath of this trial stinks of sensationalism by the press. Anything for ratings these slut TV reporters. Just sentence the b*tch to life and let it be. They'll never execute the little winch in a million years anyways. Sure looks like a hot piece although going to waste.
And thoughs about the boyfriend? Scumbag just like her but didn't deserve the execution.
