Someone remind me... what did Jeannie do for him?
The situation has nothing to do with her. But I can see how she would be offended. I won't offer an apology for stealing from Stars, because it wouldn't be a sincere apology. If I actually felt bad about it, I would return the money. I can make an apology for making a thread about it, but that's about it.
She called me a scammer/amoral on twitter.
Doesn't matter to me what he calls it. I see it as stealing from a site that has stolen from him and other US players, so I don't see a big deal, especially since it occurred from an error on their part, rather than an active attempt to roll them.
I do agree he owes Jeannie an apology for posting and bragging about it, though.
POKERATI DAN = DO NOT WANT
BACK TO DONKDOWN ASAP PLEASE
NEVER HEARD A MORE BORING PERSON IN MY LIFE
in plol's situation it would be very easy to rationalize the cashout
they made a mistake that cost him ev in the zoom tourney, and then, they again made a mistake but this time it benefited plol
a great majority of us would have no problem calling that a wash
the problem was he posted it here with the intentions of sharing the story with a small group of people but this isn't a private chat room
whether plol could have gotten into the pokerstars party or not, he asked jeannie to get him in and she hooked him up because she's not only a nice person, but a good ambassador for pokerstars
This morning I was contacted privately by PokerStars. At this time I am contemplating my options.
Now's your chance to do the right thing, PLOL.
If you weren't going to do it on your own, then maybe a little nudge from Pokerstars will help.
You REALLY don't think it's wrong to withdraw money that you know is not yours into your bank account?
If a phone company left an erroneous credit on my phone bill, would it be the right thing to keep quiet about it and not say anything? Probably not, but I would do it anyway and so would most people. In any event, I offered a deal to PokerStars that involved me giving money back, but only if a large portion of the refunded money goes directly to a charity of their choosing. I am currently waiting on a response from them.
