1st things 1st. The name of the site we owned was originally called Vegaspokerradio.com. Jasep decided to make the decision on his own to change it to podcastvegas.com after the first version was torn down. While we called the site vegaspokerradio the main URL that you would see in the address bar was always Podcastvegas.com and vegaspokerradio was just pointed at it as were about 10 other domains
22Q 72 Hour Ironman Podcast
-22Q Ironman 72 hr fundraiser was in early September. I believe it started Sunday the 2nd and ended Wednesday September 5th or that was the day after it ended
22Q Donation Money Total
- These figures are not 100 % accurate but they should be very close to accurate. Roughly 6500 was raised , 3500 went straight through the donate button to 22q on podcastvegas.com where users could donate directly to the foundation
22Q Poker Room on Podcastvegas.com (vpr)
- Jasep set up a poker room on Podcastvegas.com (vpr) which had the same software as seals with clubs and nofraudonlinepoker. He set up MTTS and Cash Games that would be raked and 100 % of the rake was to be donated to 22Q.
Buyins
- People bought into these games with Paypal shipments to Jasep or whatever other methods he accepted. So whomever deposited through Jasep received chips in the room and Jasep had held the deposits
Poker Room Donations
- At the end of 22Q all chips to the poker room were donated accept for like 1 $25 cashout from 1 user. So all in all the rake in the room didn't really matter because Jasep now had the rake and every chip that was left in peoples accounts were donated at the very end which was very generous.
Total of Donations to be sent by Jasep
- Roughly $3000 of the $6500 either came through the poker room or people who donated to Jasep directly. Only Jasep knows how much was raked donated/nobody can verify this but him because he ran all of the software.
- I am pretty sure Sep went to Borgota later that week

During the podcast Victor agreed to make a donation but didn't send it till a few days or even a week after the podcast but Victor did send it. At the time he was very busy grinding WCOOP every day. I checked with my buddy a few times in that time frame and it hadn't showed up yet but sometime between the podcast and September 19th it did show up.

All of this is being looked into. From what I heard the person who handles the financials at 22Q can't remember this check off the top of their head because this was a rather large check and they thought they would remember it. What Jasep said in these skype logs was he was meeting a guy with the bank draft. My question is why wouldnt he just straight donate the money through paypal on the 22Q link? Why the need for a check? There is no 22Q rep in his area. The only guy who has ties locally to 22Q I believe is JoeU and he never was handed a check. Here is JoeU post from yesterday in this thread.

Yeah I've been drinking. I took some ambien. I'll even admit that tonight I shot off 9400 in the pits which is a vice I had long given up. Yeah I guess I'm self loathing. Not that I want pity but yeah a lot of this is my fault. After what I went through last year I should have asked more questions, fucking keep hammering away until I got answers. I am still nauseas after 2 days since it became apparent to me there is strong evidence pointing that this bastard stole that money. I stayed up for 65 + hours straight. My dad donated to this. My Gf patents and her boss. My friends bought me food. My body took about 2 weeks to recover. I did this not even knowing much about the charity but it was my way in my head of atoning for a lot of bad things I had done throughout my life. Hurting people. Not caring. Being cruel. Indifferent.

Here is my view - fwiw
Poker / Gambling is an activity where you are looking for an edge on another person or business, in the case of a casino, +EV slots, or card counting in BJ, and also pursuing an enjoyable past time. Some gamble as their main source of a living. Some gamble as a past time. All the drama on these boards is also enjoyable sometimes. But shit is getting very real here as we see from drexel's post above. Clearly a line has been crossed. Our community is a community known to be generous to charities.
From my perspective, here is what could happen.
- Payouts to all cash investors in Projekt:Sep should be made asap since the BAP has been cancelled. These payout should be made using the BAP cash. This should be done with whatever funds Jasep has.
- Payouts to debt investors in the BAP should not be made right away out of the available BAP cash funds for what are obvious reasons. If the cash investors are paid out in full and if funds are still available to payout the debt investors, then those payments can be made as well.
- At this point there may or may not be anything owing. If anything is owing, then individual repayment arrangements should be made. Borrowing from someone else other than a bank to make these repayments, should not happen.
- 22Q, the payment to 22Q should be verified. If this has not been made, then I suggest the community rally immediately to make this right or even righter (as I suspect might happen) and that Jasep then owes the community. I believe badguy23 may have made a payment to 22Q based on what I saw in LLPR chat, but I may have been mistaken. I will pledge a payment to the "22Q Make it Right" fund if one is arranged. By the way, these payments can be made directly to 22Q using their website for most people - but the payment you make can be recorded in the "22Q Make it Right" thread if something is set up for this. I realize that the 22Q Ironman thing was a VPR initiative, but I suspect druff would allow PFA to be used in some way to organize this initiaitive.
- discussions about VPR partnership squabbles and other partnership squabbles should be kept private.
I have not enjoyed Jasep being trashed mercilessly. I do not enjoy any fellow person being trashed mercilessly. If that makes me a pussy - then so be it. People make bad decisions all the time. Who hasn't bought their wife or kid a present they couldn't afford? Many people had an angle in the Projekt:Sep - some wanted to see him succeed, some wanted a way to get a debt repaid, some want to invest, some wanted a sweat and some wanted probably something else, but safe to say everyone wanted something and sometimes things just don't work out the way you want. My point in making this post is not to blame or defend anyone. I think we can all get past this, if we choose and everyone still can do the right thing. Merge When Merge HU tables were not tracked (tables dont exist anymore) I played a guy HU on those tables for about a week and I beat him for a lot of money. Someone being staked could be sneaky and not reported these but I did and the sessions were reported in my updates every day but they were not reflected on PTR at all.
I think in September or October I hit a nice heater on merge over a 10 day span and none of it was tracked but was reported in my updates.
And the stake I closed out in mid December I won in the neighborhood of 10k that was def not tracked over a week and I reported it all and closed my stake out early because I was satisfied with the profit for myself and backers which was like +23 or 24k or something.
Also, you never know when people are watching you or tracking your play somehow with their own programs. If you plan to be around the poker game for your life then you better be an honest person.
Bottom Line is before staking someone you must ask yourselves these questions
1. Is this guy trustworthy? Sep had the trust of the users here
2. Has this guy run previous stakes/BAPS and shipped back in a timely manner? Sep did not
3. Does this guy play when he says? Sep did not
4. Does this guy update? Sep missed a week in November and didn't update
5. Does this guy have results? Sep did not
6. Ask sharper guys than you if the stakee is a good buy Most would have said no
7. Does this guy drink/use drugs? I don't believe sep did
8. Does he tilt? no proof of play
9. Does he have any other leaks Sep did
10. Are sharper guys staking him? No they weren't but again this isn't a staking forum
11. Does he have a good plan? If your not sure ask someone sharper His plan sucked
12. Look at their prior stakes and see if they have good references
In Jaseps case he was a hard worker when it came to the forums etc. But he was the laziest poker player ever. I have never seen a guy on a stake take off as many days as he did. Granted he may not have had the money on all these stakes and had to come up with excuses but he has taken more days off on these baps that he has run than I have taken off in the past 4 years.
2. Thank you Delaware. I take pride in my work and like to provide backers with a clean /crisp understanding of everything going on around me and at the table. I got this compliment from a guy that bought 20k on my last stake. I'm not trying to toot my own horn but look for stuff like this in other peoples previous baps and read their updates and follow what their stakers are saying.

Although there is many different parts to this story, I will begin with what I feel is the most important to the community and what has been debated now for weeks.
MY DEALINGS WITH JASEP AND THE BAP
Jasep, Kevin (the 3rd host from filthy limper radio) and myself starting making wagers with each other the last few months of 2012. With Kevin and I, it was only NFL football. With Johnny and I, it was mainly Chinese poker. I ended up owing Kevin 1k, which was the stop loss the 3 of us agreed to, and Johnny ended up losing $600 to me. I immediately paid Kevin through BAC. Johnny decided to call it a loss at $600 and we stopped betting. This also coincided with Johnny telling me for the first time he was having financial problems. I obviously would not have been wagering with him had I known the circumstances. Within a few days of us ceasing to wager, Johnny posted his BAP thread. I felt bad because I had no idea how dire his financial situation was, I had a very good year overall, so I decided to do something I never do. I told him to put the $600 he owed me into the stake. I then bought 9 more shares at $50 a pop so his BAP would sell out. He expressed gratitude and I thought it would avoid an embarrassing situation, in that he had no means to pay me. I had agreed to send him the $450 remaining dollars on the 30th or 31st of the month, as he was not playing until January 2nd.
Two weeks before he was set to begin playing his BAP, he texted me asking me for the $450 that day. This obviously surprised me. I asked him why he needed it over two weeks before he was due to play and he responded that he felt that him and his gf were on the outs (he had given me her BAC account to send the money to) and he was going to split once he got the money from her. This was really the beginning of the end for me. I just didn't believe him. After conferring with Mark, I told Johnny not to worry. I would send him the $ on paypal on the 30th or 31st. I didnt hear back from Johnny. Radio was on hiatus. It became apparent to me that he was pissed that I wouldn't send him the remaining shares I had purchased before the date I said I would. He sent me a few texts at the end of the month asking for the money, but by that time other things (will be detailed in this post) had come to my attention that gave me reason not to trust him, or his BAP. I told myself that at worst I was going to lose $600.
I was dismayed after the first week of the BAP when Johnny was up hundreds of dollars (don't know exact figure) and decided to go against his promise of paying backers every Thursday after radio. He missed a scheduled day that week and posted on Thursday he would send dividends out the following day. The next day (and I predicted this privately to China on the phone) he lost everything he made all week and was up $3, hence no dividends. I didn't text or contact Johnny in regards to how that was handled.
The following week, he claimed a profit for the week. He posted that investors would receive there divends on friday. I never received mine. I texted him late that night asking why I had yet to receive a payment. He said he had forgot and I would be sent it shortly. When I woke up the next morning a paypal ECHECK had been sent to me for roughly $37. I found this odd because I had never received an echeck in other paypal transactions with him prior and it stated it would take 3-5 days to clear. I didnt text Johnny on regards to this. Roughly 4-5 days later I got an email from paypal saying the echeck had bounced due to insufficient funds. I immediately texted Johnny. He replied by saying he had sent me an email earlier regarding this. He claimed via text that he had made a "clerical error" and accidentally sent my payment and the payment for two others to an inactive bank account. I checked my email and my spam box, yet could find no email. He later sent me a blurry screen shot of what looked like an email but I could not totally read it.
He told me he would paypal me the $37 from a week ago right now. That day went by and I didn't receive a payment. The next day went by and I didn't receive a payment. I finally texted him late on day 2 (roughly 12:30am pst) and told him I didn't appreciate being ignored and treated this way and that I wanted out of the stake. I told him to keep the $37 I had still yet to receive and should send me the $600 he owed me. He immediately sent me $37 (directly, no via echeck) and told me he would have the $600 for me no later than Tuesday January 29th at 6pm Vegas time. He explained that he need the 4 days (my request was made late Thursday night) to get money online.
On Tuesday January 29th at approximately 4:30 pm pst, I received this text.
The next day I texted him asking him if he was going to honor his word. He responded that he was at the police station (more on this later) and would send me $ within the hour. I ended up receiving the $600 later that day (wed the 30th) but LOL it was in the form of an echeck that would take 3-5 days to clear. I immediately texted Johnny asking him why he had me wait 5 days under the pretense that I was waiting for him to get money in the bank, only to send me an echeck. He never responded. I texted him again. No response. I knew the answer of course. To buy time. I have no expectation of this echeck clearing either next week.
Yesterday Wednesday Jan 30th, Kevin contacted me. He told me that JoeU (and investor and supporter of VPR) had told Johnny he was going to swing by Mohegan Sun and sweat him, after Johnny had indicated he would be playing there today. A short time after Johnny heard that JoeU was coming down to Mohegan, he texted him telling him not to. That he wasn't going to be playing today after all. That a threat of violence had been made against him. He then posted this statement on VPR.
***VERY IMPORTANT***
At 12:48 I received a very serious, very scary threat.. The threat contained information about my family, my girlfriend and the car I drove yesterday that is not in my name. The threat also claimed to have knowledge of where I park my car and there was a direct expression of violence. A family member received the same threat about a minute apart. We have both been in contact with the police and I have showed this to one of my investors who I trust the most with personal info and have known the longest. I am pulling the plug on all of this bullshit and taking the advice of my family and those close to me in real life.
No poker forum is worth any of this.
Every investor has $51.75 per share coming to them, over the next couple days I will coordinate 2 friends to accompany me to cash in my chips and to get all money in the bank and then online. I will then send out all shares accordingly. Everyone will receive all of their money within 7 days from today. Once every investor has received their refund I am going to step down from this website as well and close up shop. Maybe I am overreacting, and it is most likely some lunatic with a warped sense of humor, but my family/girlfriend who have been following this story are now genuinely scared and feel like I need to act on it.
I spoke with JoeU on the phone today and he confirmed everything Kevin had told me about the events that has just transpired.
WHO REALLY OWNS VPR???
I was contacted by Pikachar recently. He informed me of an agreement he had with Johnny, that Mark or myself knew nothing of. Before the inception of VPR, pikachar had sent Johnny a payment of $6,000 to purchase a 20% ownership role of filthy limper radio, that carried over into an ownership role on VPR! Pikichar will come into this thread and fill in the details because up until recently Mark and I had no idea of any arrangement/ownership stake besides Jasep/China and myself.
The irony in this is that during an episode of filthy limper radio a user in the chat indicated some sort of problem with the site. Pikachar responded my saying he would log into VPR's server and address it. Both China and I caught this. We waited a while and eventually China sent Johnny an email asking among other things what pikachars role was with VPR and why he had direct server access.
Johnny responded to Mark and I stating that Pikachar "had no affiliation with us"
The arrangement that Mark and I thought we were under is that we each owned 33.3%, which one exception. Johnny had informed Mark and I since day one and several times throughout the course of our partnership that Tim Byrd, the former host of filthy limper radio and part owner, did not want Johnny to buy him out when we started VPR so Johnny agreed to give Tim half of his 33.3%. I spoke with a close friend of Johnny's and Tim's, Kevin Wright regarding this and he stated adamantly that there was never any agreement with Tim involving a ownership role of VPR and Johnny was lying. Kevin also shockingly told me that Johnny had offered him a 20% ownership stake in filthylimper radio, which again was unknown for the entirety of our partnership to Mark or myself.
I was recently informed and it was confirmed that VPR has been using a server that costs $4.99 a month after Johnny had led both Mark and I to believe we were using a higher quality/higher cost server. In reality ALL RADIO BROADCASTS WERE BEING DONE THROUGH PIKICHARS SITE
We were under the impression we were paying close to $100 a month, when in actuality we were paying $4.95! Mark will go into more detail about this. This made a lot of sense considering Mark was suppose to handle the finances of VPR (per our agreement from day 1) and he was repeatedly rebuked or offered an excuse when he tried to gain access to such. It's obvious now the reason was so we would not know what are actual true monthly costs were.
China also was tricked into sending $ to Jasep at the spur of the moment when Jasep texted him saying that a programmer who works for Comedy Centrals website is willing to work on ours but he can only do it today and I need the money ASAP. Suffice to say, the work was never done. China can expand on this.
There a ton of little lies China and I caught him in during the last few months of our partnership. I will gladly go into details later or China feel free. I have been typing this for 2 + hours now and I need to rest. There certainly will be more added my this later.
There two more subjects I feel I need to address before I go.
People may ask, why would you get into a business with someone you didnt know/why didnt you stop the first time there was dishonesty.... The simple answer was at the time we felt there was no risk. China and I from the START did this only for fun and for the enjoyment of the community. Money was never made and we knew that going into it. We both feel sick to our stomachs that possibly our credibility as well as our participation with VPR enabled Jasep to harm and steal from the community.
Lastly, due to all these recent developments, myself, Mark and others have been asked about money that was handled through our 22q marathon podcast, which was one of the proudest things I ever did in my life. I was informed that out of the roughly $6500 raised, $3500 went directly to 22q and the remaining 3k was handled and sent to Jasep, who had agreed to send that amount to 22q directly. Due to all that has gone one and to end speculation regarding this, Jasep please post publically a picture of the check that was sent to 22q.
One thing I can safely say regarding Radio and Forums online, that from DD to FLR to VPR to PFA...the true person who can only be trusted going into business with is DRUFF and DRUFF only.... with Respect to China and Kevin.....

I know everyone is waiting to hear from me about the 22q money side of it.
Last night, I sent a e-mail to the executive board of the foundation to investigate. Things are slow to investigate because there was a change in President and Treasurer. And since I am a part of 2 foundations (spinal cord injury association and 22q), I know it can be a mess when you change treasurers, and that mess can last up to 6 months post change. So although the investigation on the 22q side is not complete, I do have a couple of facts about the money that came in, and what was potentially in the poker room during that show.
The foundation received $2021 through the online donation link that was earmarked from Vegas Poker Radio. That is the sum of the money donated through the link on the site. Their preliminary investigation does not show any other large sums of money that came in. No large checks, no large transfers on PayPal. Please keep in mind that this is not a final determination, just the results of a cursory preliminary investigation. The new treasurer is still looking into this for me.
The poker room money is a different story. I received this information from a very credible source with access to this information. That source is a user here, and if he would like to identify himself, I'd welcome it. According to him, $712 was taken in rake and entry fees from the tournaments and cash games. There is also $1135 that was left in player banks, and currently an unknown amount that was transferred back to John to be donated to the charity. So we are looking at well over $2000, and maybe even up to $3000 in poker room money. This money is still unaccounted for, and the final amount in question. I'm asking that if you are a part of this community, and had money in the poker room for the event, did you donate your money to the foundation at the end? If you didn't, were you paid the money you were owed from the room?
As china indicated earlier, my wife and I are the only 2 people with direct ties to the board and the foundation that live in New England. The majority of the board resided in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but there are board members in Canada, Florida, and other states. John never gave me a check. My understanding was that he was mailing a check to the foundation, but china's information is very different.
All I am asking of John right now is that he come clean about this. He needs to make his BAP and 22q right. Only then can we move on.
I do appreciate the outpouring of support from the community on this issue as well. I'd also like to ask that if there is a "make 22q right" fund, that china or duff be in charge of that since as suggested earlier, they are two of the most trustworthy people on the board.

I have 2 claims with paypal outstanding with Johnny, 1 for my original investment and one for my reinvestment when he said he had 17 more shares available. Because he was stupid enough to reply to paypal stating that I am owed a full refund (I think at this point he thought steve-o was going to buy VPR), they have assured me by feb 11th if he has not sent back the cash (which I think we can all say he won't) that they will put the money in my account and his account will go negative for the difference of what he has in there vs what he owes (I think it'll go -400 but whatever). I did however receive 13.60 in "profits" from the bap and was going to donate this to a freeroll once my $400 was returned on the 11th. I will however, and if any investors have an issue with this please speak, be donating this to the 22q foundation. I'm sorry this happened to you Joe. The amount in question is the poker room amount. From what we are seeing in the preliminary investigation, none of this money came in. I never followed up with the foundation on this because I had no reason not to believe John. The foundation never questioned the amounts either because they were grateful for anything that came in. This podcast was a first time event for everyone involved, and with any first time undertaking, mistakes are usually made. Events are improved on based on previous mistakes made. Now we learned (the hard way) not to trust him with the money. Maybe in hindsight, I should have demanded he give me all proceeds to send to the foundation.
So the total in question is approximately $3000, and it is safe to report the event made more like $5000 than $6000. Still a great event, and a lot of money to raise from a small radio show. Unfortunate that those events, combined with a dishonest BAP led to where we are today.
