I think I figured out the charity angle here.
There's a decent chance it's a form of tax evasion.
Picture this:
You have some old MLM scammer friend who runs some shady charity. You are bringing in a bunch of money via your scam gambling coaching, but hate Uncle Sam with a passion, and feel it's your God given right to pay zero taxes.
What do you do?
Well, one way out of tax liability is to donate to "charity" which then secretly funnels it back to you.

These two can actually go together.
Recall that Chrissy thinks that his system works. He thinks he will be wealthy very soon. He does not plan upon nor expect to be broke at the end of each year, even though he probably is.
So I'm guessing these "charitable contributions" existed throughout the year, believing he would need to bring his tax liability down to zero, and then it turned out his liability was zero anyway because he chunked off all the scam profits.
Oh, one more thing. I think alerting BOL to Chrissy's negative comments is a great idea. However, the monkeys in customer support aren't going to do anything about it, nor do I think they will get it over to the right people.

Chris is doing exactly what almost all of us thought---as the scam has gotten larger he just gambles larger.
25k bankroll i am guessing will turn into $100 base bets and the money will be gone rather faster using the martingale.
He also seems to be addicted to the gambler lifestyle(bells, comps, hotel rooms). He continues to travel using every comp offered to him rather than just stay home and do BOL----which he use to swear by saying it didn't take away from family time.
