They are voted on by the media, and the UFC has made it clear over and over that the rankings mean nothing when it comes to matchmaking and/or title shots. Sure they cut ranked fighters all the time. However it's either due to behavior, drugs, contract disputes or a losing streak where they're pushed down out of the top 5.

dude wins unanimous decision in the UFC when many fighters can't keep their composure during their first octagon fight with much, much more experience than Sergio. LOLexposaments. He was expected to win, sure, and he did. You say its gonna be his easiest UFC fight, but he's also gonna be getting better every fight. If you think he was exposed, your expectations were outrageous, and I'd love to know just what parts of him were exposed.

Everyone expects Sergio to fight like his brother and their nothing alike. I've been to a few of SP's fights and hes really technical and not flashy like AP. He wont be a top 10 fighter ever in my opinion, but he will be in every fight. I didnt see this fight but from what I read it was pretty one sided from Pettis.Quote:
