Actually a lot of people have been through hurricanes, like tens of millions, you must not have cable TV. Most affected are impacted by fresh water rain, and most don't have flood insurance. My Aunt's house was effectively ruined by Hurricane Sandy and she was miles inland from the Jersey coast but the river just overwhelmed everyone's first floor, here again she had no flood insurance, I mean it was just something you never thought of given you were inland. She had to take a 401K loan to rebuild, right when she finished the rebuild she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, just awful. Another huge impact is power loss for days and sometimes weeks, if you have been without power for days it is the worst. You are correct, only a very few are impacted by storm surge, but they are generally the most expensive homes which impacts everyone else's insurance. With all that said, I could not imagine waking up at 4am in the pitch dark and seeing my neighbor's homes on fire and embers in my front yard knowing I am next. So what is going on in LA is likely worse only because there is no warning.
A friend who is a journalist is wondering if there could be a terrorist angle to the LA fires.
Seems ridiculous, but who knows?
dwai: rofl rekt by hurricane expert
People from Florida are weird, they almost wear the Hurricane badge like its an honor or something. Texas gets crushed by hurricanes all the time, but nobody ever talks about them there. But you go to Florida and they obsess about the conversation and like bring it up all the time. There are a lot of tornadoes in the midwest but nobody ever talks about them, but you go to Florida and they bring up every hurricane by name, date, etc.. Just STFU. And nobody gives a shit what you pay for insurance either stop bringing it up, don't like paying it, move.
i suggested the same thing earlier in this thread, 4 different fires started basically at the same time and they weren't close to each other, like 30 miles apart... Palisades, Pasedena, Hurst and i forget the last location... and on tiktok last night where people were live streaming that were somewhat close to the fire(s) they were no where close to each other and separated by many many miles and several canyons/mountains over... doesn't make sense... 4 different fires didn't start from 1 fire that spread and jumped canyons over 30 miles away and at the same time....
And one more thing, most of these Hurricane obsessed Florida dweebs say they live there because of the beach and the weather. Here is the deal most of those fuckers never go to the beach, never have owned a boat and sit inside all day long in 70 degree air conditioning complaining about the humidity outside. When they do go outside, they bitch to everyone how hot it is. I root for hurricanes to hit Florida, tbh.
Riveting TV on Fox News right now. They have a professional 'lifeguard specialist' talking about the wildfires.
Three pages and not one single picture of bad guy’s ghetto generator
thanks libs
Also how the hell were there kids in school next to one of these fires?
Then you have Backdraft II Electric Bugaloo trying to evacuate them. Elect proper politicians Jesus Christ.
i dont know if its the alg responding to my conversations but seeing more and more stuff like this

like the winds died down and suddenly there were tons of small fires cropping up.
More fires now in Studio City. To quote John Wayne, “This is getting to be a little re-God-damned-diculous”
LOL, not enough water in the fire hydrants even though the entire state of CA has historic rains and the reservoirs are filled. Yeah, Newsome will be ruined over this, but he was never going to win the 2028 nomination anyway. I have stayed outside of Santa Monica many years ago in a bed and breakfast with my then GF. It was literally on top of a hill, one road in one road out. It was just spooky. Now I am not going to say I was worried about a fire, it never entered my mind. I was more worried about an earthquake since the place was pitched at an angle, some of those homes never should have been built. California is just weird, I drove through Eureka on Highway 1 (I think that was the highway) and the fucking Pacific ocean was literally washing on the highway. WTF. I have not been back to CA in years, not a place that appeals to me. I do want to go back to the Price is Right studio for a show, but that is about it.
Watching this all live on TV in LA. This is ugly.
I was in NY during 9/11. It was like “Oh look, another plane, that’s weird…”
Today it’s “oh wow, another fire in a different area (even though the wind died 6 hours ago)…”
Pray for Mother Druff too…

Haralobob, of all people, has been tweeting about the wacky world of water management in California and the scams that have unfolded over the years.
The couple that owns the conglomerate that grow these familiar Cali products and Diane Feinstein is a fun thread. Symptomatic of a fucked up California that in fact predates Newsom.
So yeah, no water in the hydrants
What are you guys watching to follow the fire?
It’s undoubtedly someone pissed off about the media describing Gavin Lux as a 2 time World Series winner.
(Regarding the pic of the old lady Dodgers fan): She can’t be Druff’s mom. She looks like she has a strong immune system/constitution. Todd is perpetually weak and sickly and full of excuses. As for why this is so, it can’t be his lack of vitamin D from living vampire hours avoiding the sun or his lack of exercise from various foot ailments and other blatant lazy-guy excuses…
Anyway, I think Druff is great at radio, and I enjoy his 3 live shows before midnight each year…
In ~ 2010 or so I was at a winery in Santa Barbara and we got some wine, cheese you get the routine. I asked for a water, which is reasonable when you are getting food. So they brought it, but on the check was a line item, .50 cents for the water. I asked the waitress WTF is this. I was not concerned about 50 freaking cents, I just was like WTF. She said it was because they wanted to ration water or something due to the drought, she was a ditz with a nose ring so I left it alone. I was like whatever, I just got a plate of cheese for like $19 and a glass of wine for $16 and you want to hose me 50 cents for water. Ok.
Still no power.
And no wind!
So why are they leaving my power off????
It's been 7 hours since wind died down. It's so calm outside right now that I could build a house of cards.
This really is a complete joke. They've gotten so cavalier about turning off people's power for insane amounts of time. Could be another 37 hours of this, too. They do not give any communication as to when you can expect it on, aside from a maximum.
My power block ran out of juice so I bought some dumb car accessory that turns your cigarette port into an AC outlet, capable of running 140 watts.
Aside from the battery drain on the car (which I'll have to drive every so often to recharge), that should do it for me, right?
Nope! This shitty device keeps getting errors and I found only one charger that works with both it and my power block. Otherwise it flashes red that there's some kind of safety issue. The device was rated shitty online, but it was the only one in Home Depot, so I was desperate.
Here's the device and the reviews: https://www.homedepot.com/p/reviews/...40/300385210/5
I agree with VolvoMasterTech81. That's exactly what keeps happening to me.Quote:
JUNK!! Waste of time and money
Purchased this yesterday to use at work to charge a laptop while I run a regen on big rigs and this piece of junk won't even do it. Laptop charger is only 65 watts so I figured this would be more then enough to run it. Well I was wrong all the inverter keeps doing is cutting in and out and light on front of it starts flashing red. Will be returning it as soon as I get off work today
by VolvoMasterTech81
But I've got it charging my power block at the moment, so we shall see if I can squeak by.
Power has been out here in north LA County for over 24 hours, going on 36. To be serious here, I am a prepper and my past efforts are paying off. I dont have my portable gas generators here, but the power station is helpful.
I am also using a 150 watt car power inverter like Druff is using, it’s helpful.
And YES, using our flashlights and one portable LED lantern, the best blackout survival item to have. Hopefully Vampire Druff is using his Streamlight Pro-Tac HPL flashlight to get by.
As for firearms, I live in a upscale Tier 2 neighborhood, but still armed incase of looters. Hopefully Druff is ready in this area.
To be honest, all of the prepper details I’ve posted about on PFA are coming to light now, it pays to be prepped, equipped and ready.
Hope everyone else is safe. Being prepped has paid off.
Yeah , the inverter I have is a piece of shit and keeps crashing, but I've kinda figured out some of its idiosyncrasies.
My car is also a pain in the ass in that it shuts off all power after having the engine off after some minutes, in order to prevent battery drain. But I *WANT* to drain the battery... at least to the minimum level to where it can still start, then I'll drive it and charge it up again, rinse and repeat.
Anyway I just tried another trick to see if the damn thing can stay on a bit, so we'll see if it works. Took a pointless drive tonight just to charge my power block. I've almost got the thing to 100% which is good for 9-10 hours of internet and cell service, so hopefully that will be good enough until this shit is over.
Druff- I have a small power station and just charge it in my car at idle using the good 150 watt power inverter. (I only do this since my generators aren’t onsite)
I sit in my car in my car in the driveway to charge the power station AND watch my house and the neighbor’s house during the blackout for break-in’s and looters.
Again, prepping has paid off as now others are asking me about items like firearms, etc.
What a portable power station looks like-

Well look on the bright side Druff, so many homes are burning down that soon they’ll no longer need to restrict power usage as there will be so many fewer homes that need to consume power.
Really feel bad for Druff not having power, so inconvenient when you're bed ridden in a weakened state on week 4 of the flu
Also feel bad for those who lost everything.
I know this ass clown is just trolling as he always does here in the “big leagues”. But in a thread where people are dying and losing everything he just can’t help himself to keep trying to fuck with people.
I would say you should shut the fuck up about shit you know nothing about but it’s better to let you keep going and show what an ass you are.
And the thought of you crying about a .50 glass of water while eating cheese and drinking wine made by day.
No wonder I keep getting messages of support telling me what a loser you are.
Take weather wind forecast, start a bunch of fires. Enjoy your 750 fema payment, invest more in faggotry and DEI.
Plug in that electric car y’all. Rofl at being slave to globalists.
The Amish are the smartest in the room.
I had to lol at Steve Guttenberg getting praise saying if you see someone that needs help, how can you not help them? I guess the someone only applies if you are rich and not the homeless that are on every street block.
Gutten. Berg.
lmao. and nothing of value was lost.
hey off topic how much $ have we given israel in the last couple of years?
