I think Trump is telling the truth here, but it's obviously a little more complicated than that. Trump's inner circle likely forced Elon out, and I imagine he wanted some other ridiculous guarantees regarding SpaceX and Mars etc. in addition to the EV mandate that he eventually realized were never going to happen and feels completely betrayed. Remember that we're just a couple months removed from tweets of Elon saying that he loves "... Donald Trump as much as a man can love another man." This is hilarious.Quote:

So far this is the exact same formula of previous Elon meltdowns. He's actually managed to make Trump look level headed. If this continues to follow the same formula, once Elon comes down from his bender he will back off and even try to do some damage control. He has consistently and increasingly shown he is in no position mentally to have the kind of power he does. I couldn't imagine owning Tesla stock right now.
