Please let Woodley fight Conor #freemoney
Gastulum coudlnt make weight again so we dont get Cowboy calling out Conor and honestly first Trump and now this wow
Yeah, I was just looking at the results & I was like, WTF, Miller missed weight too before realizing he did it on purpose so his fight with Alves wouldn't be scrapped like this fight was. I'm pretty sure Cowboy would have done the same if he knew Gastelum's weight wasn't on point.
why is so much money going on eddie, eddie sucks.
the only reason hes here is because he smothered pettis and gilbert to split decisions and because he trashed a freshly unroided RDA.
i think his chances are well beyond decent. i dont understand why he isnt in the -360 range.
as deeply as i loathe conor, he has proven to be exceedingly bankable. i think he catches eddie in the body and finishes the job in the first in like 2 out of 3 fights, conservatively.
but every time i say that in response to a line i dont understand, the guy im jocking shows up with one leg or some sort of adult onset palsy and i go broke.
i made some lolparlays with eddie winning just to be safe. im officially spooked.
All I'm reading is $$ in on McGreggor and the lines going the other way.
if Conor falls to -125 I have to bet him #meh
Also taking Woodley not b/c I think he can win, but because of the price. I have paid rent on backing the truck up on Wonderboy for all seven fights on his run, but him at -200 is just crazy vs a top of the line wrestler like Woodley. Also like that fight to go to decision.
a) the late "bet against Conor" push which has happened since he's become public. The Aldo late push at 194 was insane; I've never seen that in combat sports betting before and only a few times in football/baseball like when an important player was expected to play and suddenly he can't 30 min before gametime or something. It's why 1/3rds of the people I talk to about that fight thinks Aldo took a dive lol
b) People figure: "What beats Conor? Wrestling and BJJ! Nate choked him out!". But the issue is, and Chael Sonnen has said this: Eddie's actually never really used his wrestling in his fights as a primary weapon. He's never done in his MMA career what Chael did for 5* rounds vs Anderson Silva: take the striker down and punch his face all night (*well for 4.5 rounds until Chael tapped, but you know what I mean).
Eddie in his career always got back to why he's the "Underground King": brawling and Thai clinch. It's the Philly in him; he can't help himself. And that plays into Conor's hands as he's the taller fighter with longer reach and can pick his shots against an aggressively striking Eddie. UNLESS Eddie decides to "Jon Fitch" the fight. And I don't think he will do that, and it probably costs him because as big of an edge Conor has on Eddie's striking, it's way more when it comes to Eddie's wrestling, IMO.
I never watched a weigh-in before and got as excited as I did today even tho nothing really crazy happens. The 200 card was decent on paper but a let down when it happened so lets hope this one delivers.

It was a good play by Rousey who is there at the end to walk off before they ask to speak to her.
Eddie's Pettis fight gameplan was entirely based on his wrestling advantage, no? That's why everyone got pissed, because all he was doing was taking him down or grinding him into the fence. There's no reason NOT to think he won't try to Jon Fitch this, because he's already shown us he'll try to do it against a very dangerous striker if he thinks he has the clear advantage.
