Russia has already defeated Ukraine. They took the russian populated eastern part of the country. They really don't care about the rest. Putin has actually taken it easy on Ukraine. He could have been much more brutal.
Putin is a very popular leader, polls over 80%, and the War is popular with the Russian people. They understand the danger of NATO on the Ukrainian border. How do you think Hitler got to Stalingrad?
