i would have zero issues at all working with a trans person and would not disqualify them from military service unless there is actual evidence (that you know trump doesn't have), which indicates hiring them causes some sort of legit military concern, which i would highly doubt.
also i'm generally for laws protecting trans people and am in no way against them doing whatever they want to do (i.e., surgery) to make themselves happy. if it works, great.
i admit there's a bit of circular reasoning with the trans/mentally ill debate. i'm sure being ostracized and suffering discrimination 24/7 is likely to lead to depression and anxiety, hence higher suicide rates.
on the other hand, are we so polite in our culture now where we say that a person believing he or she was born to the wrong gender -- and then acts on that belief by mutilating themselves -- is a perfectly normal thing? is it really so controversial to say that such a person may have issues uncconected to the gender dysphoria? again, if it makes them happy, then go for it. just saying, it's not really normal behavior imo
honestly, i probably have much more issues than the average trans person considering that i've been neglecting my family the whole night just to rant about trans people in a trump thread on a 5th tier poker forum, and have been engaging in such activity for the past decade.
