Wenzhi Fei, aka "Wesley" and "Dr. Hash" from Hustler Casino Live, accused of crypto scamming

An anonymous poster shared a blog to Reddit, accusing Wenzhi Fei (Wesley from Hustler Casino Live) of crypto scamming. Wesley is known on the stream as a rich guy who made a lot of money in crypto.

The anonymous blogger also says they'll reveal their identity to any "journalists or media", and will verify it, but nobody has taken him up on the offer yet to my knowledge. Here is the blog:

The Cliffs notes of the blog:

- Victim is the author, claims to be 28 years old and from the UK

- Says he and his friend invested a total of $250k (together) with Wesley, for a shitcoin called SupremeX

- Provides many screen shots of text messages supposedly with Wesley, as well as a receipt for a wire transfer in 2022. All of this looks fairly authentic, though none of this is verifiable.

- Claims Wesley promised SupremeX would yield huge returns. After it didn't, and seemed to be struggling in mid-2022, they expressed concern to Wesley

- At this point, Wesley allegedly told them not to sell, and that a huge investor from China was about to buy into the coin, thus pumping up its value

- Investor never showed up, and Wesley allegedly made excuses to stall further

- Shortly after that, SupremeX crashed, and this appears to be a "rug pull" where the creators of the coin sell everything off and run off with the profits

- Victim claims Wesley had thugs break into his house and steal his electronic devices after he initiated a fraud claim on the $250k wire

The first responses from Wesley are not particularly convincing.

However, the screen shots he posted are interesting. Basically he's trying to say that someone -- perhaps the same guy who posted the accusatory blog -- is claiming they were hired to get him deported, and want $35k in order NOT to make the deportation happen.

While weird, this doesn't really mean much. It could be the victim trying to get back some of his money in a roundabout way. It could be a separate person trying to exploit the situation for $35k. Or Wesley could be making all of this up. Or this entire thing could be a bullshit attack on Wesley in order to squeeze $$ out of him.

But Wesley really needs to provide some clarity here.

I wouldnt hold your breath Druff. Too many of these shitcoin pump and dump scams online with random "Projects" and coins/tokens attached to them. The have no real value other then the big grownups like BTC, ETH, ETC, LTC which have been around long enough along with the stable coins like USDC and TUSD. the rest are all speculative junk bond type stuff. I set up a mining op several yrs back on a supposed SHA-256 coin that was being hyped and was doing decent mining till the rugpull right around the time alot of us were going to be able to convert to BTC and such. Wasnt out anything then the clock cycles on my one computer but it was annoying.

It reads like a partial truth story or fake. It reads like a garden variety crypto scam, right down to the Chinese investor whale. The whole break-in part feels hazy and convenient.

You file a lawsuit and your flat gets broken into?

Nothing, at all, is missing except the very things you need to prove it. Possible. But you also don’t instantly realize, hey I just filed a suit for fraud against a guy and the only things missing are what I needed to prove it? If that happened, and he mentioned many other valuables untouched, I’m instantly knowing who did it.

Then he said he blocked his number right as he sold, which one would expect. But then he starts texting him again despite being blocked, presumably from a new number, why does the guy taunt him? This is a guy scared enough of his fraud allegations to hire someone to break into his flat on another continent, but just taunts him? A guy that meticulous to cover his tracks would just block again and ignore.

Pregnant girlfriend just for added heartstrings. Maybe it’s entirely true, but I’d bet it’s partially true or not true. His involvement in said project doesn’t mean much to me. If you’re going to extort someone for $, and make up a story, you’re going to make something up that involves a project connected with them.

I feel like everything up to the break in could be true, but it doesn’t make much sense after that.

It does appear it was somebody using a burner text app but the interesting thing is potentially this may connect back to this Wesley issue if ya read through the thread and implying Berkey was one of the ones who outted Wesley as a crypto-con-artist.

I thought the same thing when I saw that, Berkey is smart enough to know what he's implying.

Wesley could definitely be an unhinged maniac.
The way he talked about that player's mom in the million dollar game was a big red flag.
Seems very insecure and no empathy for others (his taunting while winning, etc). Also shows he has no self control when he feels 'attacked' - on streams and on twitter.
A person like that + access to a lot of funds = a lot of shady, vengeful plans going on behind the scenes.

Someone on Twitter pointed out that the "victim" was actually somewhat of a crypto scammer himself, getting in on SupremeX early, and waiting on a whale (like the supposed "Chinese" guy) to stupidly invest a lot, pop the value to 10x or so, and then bail out.

The person raised a good point that this dude is probably just mad that he got rugged before he could be the rugger himself. It was also pointed out that the guy supposedly lost his life savings, but his reaction afterwards was to take a nice jaunt into the countryside with his girlfriend -- hardly what you'd expect of someone down to their bottom dollar.

None of this exonerates Wesley, and his refusal to explain what really happened here seems extremely suspect. If this really was just a bunch of crypto assholes taking part in a pump-and-dump shitcoin, and one fucked over the other, it's hard to have a lot of sympathy here -- at least not for this guy.

The reason he's hiding his identity also might be due to not wanting people to see that he's a lot more well off than he claims, and that he's perhaps made a lot of money from shitcoin schemes like this before.

There have now been numerous occasions where Wesley’s lack of communication skills have made things tough to discern. Off the top of my head we have seen it in his overall etiquette at the poker table, the conflict with that Australian guy in the million dollar game, trying to defend himself when Nik Airball claimed that he had vouched for that guy Ryusuke at a private game and now this.

I really couldn’t tell you. This could be a pile on phenomenon where Wesley ends up being an easy fall guy or Wesley is actually somewhat sketchy. Or it could be both. I really got no fucking clue. He is certianly a bit of an enigma.

Yeah, weird dude. I called BS early not because of his reaction, but because the accusers story didn’t make sense to me. Surprised this got otherwise seemingly smart guys pitted against each other. When I read the accusers account, it just had parts to it that didn’t ring true.
