As I was driving around town yesterday looking for a place to eat while on my lunch break, I backed into a cars front bumper. I do the responsible thing and get out of my car to assess the damage. Mind you, I was reversing at about 3 mph. I had never been in a car accident prior to this and was kind of shook when it happened. My fears were wholly compounded when I realized I had hit, to my horror, a fucking hindu. The guy was keeping it one hundred with the turban, dot, beard, and beat up honda. And in true indian form, his first attempt at reaching a compromise was to extort me for $200 (LOL). In no uncertain terms, I basically tell him to fuck off. The only damage his fucking shitty ride sustained was the hubcap popping off. THIS WAS THE ONLY DAMAGE his car took. Anyways, already pissed off at the guy, I gave him my insurance card (my dad told me this was the wrong move after the fact).
He then proceeds to tell me that if I deny an "accident" taking place, he would "call the police on me". I mean the fucking balls on this guy... He subsequently proceeds taking pictures of my insurance card, license, the missing hubcap, and even a picture of me (LOL). I honestly feel any reasonable person worth a shit would fucking employ some diplomacy and be fair regarding such a minor "collision". However, the second I saw this fucking curry bastard, I knew in my bones he was going to milk the situation. He will probably contact the insurance company and my plan is to straight deny everything. The pictures he took weren't damning evidence in the least and I expect that I could own this hindu cunt in a verbal altercation if the police get involved.
Ultimately, I was at fault and I admit to that. But, the fact that the guy's first move was to extort me, left a really bad taste in my mouth. What was the right move at the time and what is the right move after the fact?
