    Trans-Siberian Railway LIVE Trip Report

    Moscow to Vladivostok
    9k Kilometers
    8 timezones
6 days of travel (if you don’t stop)

I’m gonna be making quite a lot of stops and probably do it over a span of two weeks, rather than a solid one week on a train.

Left Moscow last night, bored off my tits on the train. AMA

The only Russians who ride long distance trains are elderly people, poor people and central Asians (Russia’s Mexicans)

I’ll let you know when I get there - but quite a big and thriving city so I imagine it has something to offer.

Btw that Slavic Russia mix with Korean which you find over there can be super hot.

I appreciate the thread Tickle. It might surprise you to know they I find Russia more interesting than the Mets.

I would be interested in pictures of everyday things. Consumer products. Toiletries, everyday stuff. A restaurant meal or menu. Fashion/clothes.

I learned Cyrillic script and Russian in high school long ago. Did MI6 teach you or you have picked it up on your own?

Mets are crushing it in the last few games... even if playoffs are gone.

It might disappoint you to discover that everyday things are basically the exact same as in the west. Russia is really, really normal (just with political repression). I think you'd not be shocked or surprised at all.

I studied Russian as a minor in university - improved drastically since I moved here and i'm now basically fluent.

    That does surprise me.

Do you find yourself criticizing product quality? With a nod to Druff, how do you find customer service on the whole?
