    *** OFFICIAL 2014 NFL Thread ***

So NFL kicks off tonight with what looks like it should be a really good game between Green Bay @ Seattle.

Seattle is -5.5/-6 on most books and the o/u is at 46.5.

Green Bay should be good this year but Seattle is a tough place to play. I like the under and am leaning towards Seattle to cover as well.

Id go over. The ref was tied for 1st in def pass int last year, and Seattle holds on every play, so its going to be a long game.

BNP What do you think about playing every Lions game over this year? I think they have a super potent offense and a def that couldnt stop a cfb team.

Are the yellow flags gonna rain like confetti on the Seahawks 4th street parade last February?

Richard Sherman looking at Ariana Grande like he's going to hatefuck her and then snap her neck. All business. Got to respect that.

I fell asleep before I locked the under bet in and didn't get up in time. That might be a victory itself the way it's going so far but we will see.

Sounds decent at least for the first few weeks until they odds makers make the right adjustments.

The Lions offense should be able to score just fine but Stafford will make his typical mistakes along with the defense bailing out teams giving them points in classic Lions style.

    Awesome game so far.

GB's only TD was the direct result of a botched punt so it looks like Seattle's defence is as good as ever.

    Lynch also in "beast mode".

Eminem once said whatever happened to a good old fashion passionate ass kicking getting your shoes clothes and your hat tooken.

I dont understand GB's game plan. Seattle's D is fast but small. I would have lined up an extra lineman and put a TE in the backfield and ran the ball all night long. If they can stop it then tip your hat to them.

I was suprised how good Seattles run d was against Lacy. I guess they brought 8 men in the box alot with 1 high safety. Thats where Rodgers has to pick them apart.

They had a smart strategy of never putting Nelson on Sherman. IMO if Sherman doesnt move around he cant be considered the best cb even if he is, because its too easy to gameplan against it. Why put your #1 receiver on their #1 db if you can avoid it?

Not having Finley to stretch the field is really hurting GB. When Bulaga went out the game was over. They already lost their top tackle backup and Sherrod is just as bad as Newhouse.

If Bulaga is ok GB will get better as the season goes on when ARod can get comfortable with the young receivers and te, but the road will go through Seattle and if they stay healthy its should be a wrap.

Seriously, I thought Lacey ran the ball very effectively the first couple possessions & it looked like it was going to be "game on". Seattle made some good adjustments & then Bulaga got hurt & it seemed like that was the end of that. I was a little surprised to hear this morning that Lacey only had 37 yards even though he got hurt & left the game. I thought he had more than that on the first couple possessions.

Cant be that easy to game plan against though because Seattle keeps winning. GB also showed a lot of respect for sherman , how many balls did they throw at him?

Also if teams aren't willing to throw at sherman then that side of the field is dead and they can roll coverage anywhere they want. Not like Nelson torched the other side . He wound up with like 9 catches for 80 yards
