stunning to say the least given the way they have treated other monster fuck ups by their casinos...
like I said in my earlier post I think that this outcome may have been a little different if this was one of the B&M casinos who fucked up...

So funny all the PFA sharps proving they don't know shit ... so many luls
For those on the bettors' side, what if they got +7500000 instead of +75000?
Would FanDuel have owed them $80 million?
Obviously there can't just be an open-ended "book owes the person if the bet was placed" rule, or otherwise a single malfunction could bankrupt the entire company.
In Nevada, you'll notice on each slot/video poker machine, there's a notice, "Malfunction voids all plays and pays". On the surface, that sounds very player-unfriendly and downright shady, but it's in place to prevent situations like these.
I'm guessing FanDuel probably didn't want a protracted fight with gaming, which would have been horrible PR because many people wouldn't have understood the situation, and it would look to Joe Recbettor that books are trying to welch on bets. So they probably decided that shipping $150k total to these guys was worth not having to go through all that.
There definitely needs to be rules in place to prevent this type of crap from occurring in the future. Perhaps establish some kind of baseline, to where a mistake less than 20x would have to be honored, but greater than 20x could be invalidated.
Did anyone read FanDuel's response when it payed the $?

No way this would happen in the crusty books of Vegas...
"A 36-yard field goal has approximately an 85 percent chance of success, so the astronomical odds offered on something highly likely to occur was very obviously a pricing error," the company said. "These kinds of issues are rare, but they do happen. We want sports betting to be fun. So, this one's on the house. We are paying out these erroneous tickets and wish the lucky customers well."
AND
"FanDuel also says it will give away another $82,000 this weekend by adding $1,000 apiece to the accounts of 82 randomly chosen customers."
And this is just one customer, other people had these bets. LOL FanDuel, you're so funny.
