Nobody will say what AG400 stands for.
Weird.
Maybe Colonel Fabersham should call tonight.

400 is confirmed 400k buyin min
Ag is a player and they would not disclose who
My guess is it's Anthony Gregg, winner of the One Drop and overall beast at both mtts and cash.
Colonel Fabersham got out of them tonight that AG is the initials of a player in Ivey's Room, and that he plays the big game with Ivey where the minimum buyin is $400,000. That's where the 400 comes in.
They told the good Colonel that this person is a frequent player in that game, and not just some poker player who wanted his name up there.
It is not clear whether AG is a well known name or just a rich fish.
I am in Las Vegas right now until Friday. I was at the Aria and asked a dealer about the AG400. He confirmed it was a high limit players initials and he knew who it was but could not tell me. I asked about the 400 part. He said that that stands for the Forbes 400 list. And that that player owns a company in the Forbes 400 list. Makes sense to me.
So it's not Tony Gregg, and the Aria staff were lying to the colonel about the 400k buyin thing?
The only A.G.s I see on the Forbes 400 are:
-Alan Gerry (83)
-Anne Gittinger (77)
Obviously a call needs to be made to JRB by Druff during radio in order to get to the bottom of this...

So I was at the Aria poker room again today. I asked 4 different dealers about this. 1 knew nothing about it, the other 3 said it was somebody's initial but they did not know who, or at least that's what they told me. I brought up the 400k buy and the Forbes 400 list topic and all 4 said they did not know.
Then I spoke with Aaron the head tournament director and also one of the had poker room managers. He confirmed it was a high limit player's initial and indeed the 400 was that he bought in for 400K. I asked for a name or hint of who it was but he said for privacy reasons he could not tell me.
I guess the dealer that told me about the Forbes 400 list thing was either pulling my chain or he really thought that is what it was for.
MTR
I believe that the mystery poker player is Alec Gores he is a high rolling poker player and he is also #273 on the Forbes 400 list.
As a poker player, Alec Gores was one of the players who got caught up in the Hollywood poker game situation that involved Toby Maguire and others winning money from another player named Brad Ruderman (a fraudster) who was running a ponzi scheme and using his investor clients money to gamble with.
See the article attached for details.....

If it is a Forbes 500 man then your likely right on Alec Gores.
At first I thought of a few names of poker pros but thinking about it now this actually makes a lot of sense for it to be a rich billionaire who wants to play high knowing the odds are stacked against him but some of these guys just love poker and enjoy playing against the very best. I could see them talking to Ivey about adding this man to the name of the room and if he's action then Ivey would definitely be happy to share it without complaining even though the Aria could name it The JRB Donk Off Room if they wanted.
LOL JRB donk off room.
JRB was in the room several nights that I was playing there. I don't know much about Chinese poker but 1 dealer told me he just dealt him had an amazing hand. A straight flush on the bottom, quads in the middle, and a pair of jacks up top.... 48 points or something like that.
What I got out of them adding "400" and just someones Initials "AG" was that they want it to be obvious still that its Phil Ivey Poker Room, but now it will be the Phil Ivey room featuring The AG 400 Game. If they put the full name of "AG" then it would discredit it being Iveys Room.
Maybe next radio, we will call and ask if Alec Gores is playing right now. If they know who it is, then we probably have our AG400.
