Unfortunately, our society is designed where there is large incentives to look at things with a "glass half full" approach, and not prepare contingency plans for the worst. And so-called experts are not immune from these incentives. Experts have been clearly wrong about how serious this is from the very beginning. If you think they all had a "hallelujah" moment and are suddenly being appropriately pessimistic, than you do you.
Like I said, I very much hope I am wrong.
King's College Hospital in London has confirmed a 13-year-old boy has died after testing positive for covid-19
Can we get more Blake arguing with retards???
Coronavirus could travel 27 feet, stay in air for hours: MIT researcher

6 feet isn't enough.
Cuomo has been an absolute disaster. Still spreading fake news about the effectiveness of masks. There is ZERO reason you should go to the grocery store or wherever without a mask during a viral airborn pandemic, especially in NYC. You shouldn't be allowed in a grocery store or public transit without one.
Instead, NYC actually BANS the use of face masks. It's illegal to wear a face mask in public in NYC. Cuomo hasn't repealed this (though I'm sure it's not being enforced). And MTA workers were explicitly forbidden from wearing masks while at work, while all this was going down.

What an absolute disgrace. MTA workers are dying directly because of Cuomo/Deblasio policies. They're almost as bad as Trump.
Other countries caught on quick. In Seoul, they actually have face masks for the public to take at every public transit station and every bus, so you can wear one. In Bulgaria, it's mandatory to have a mask on if you go outside. Meanwhile, in NYC...

fauci is now saying they may soon suggest the public wears masks.
translation: the public should always have been wearing masks but we didn't have enough of them so we had to lie and say they aren't helpful so we'd have enough for hospitals.
two positive notes though:
1) new coronavirus cases in washington declined; and 2) The rate of new hospitalizations from COVID-19 in places such as New York are beginning to slow and are “possibly” beginning “to flatten out,” Fauci said.
Trump sounds defeated. I think he’s finally starting to see how serious this is. Definitely a shift in tone
White House now predicts 100k to 250k deaths, keep going niggars.
Your boy fauci is back peddling like a niggar.
Had a fight with dumbass at gym re masks before they closed. Called her sheeple.
Use logic.
Fauci needs his cancer treated.
Oh, make sure you donate blood lol.

Where can we get masks at this point? Like, useful ones that work for this?
Tons of counterfeit N95 masks being sold on the internet, so that's a no-go.
To be honest, I never understood the "masks don't help" thing for an airborne virus, especially when it was acknowledged at the same time that hospital workers DO need masks.
Huh?
The closest I came to understanding was, "You can still catch it from surfaces, so the mask alone doesn't prevent you from catching the virus", but so what? The mask still helps a lot.
That's the same stupid argument the left uses when criticizing the wall on the Mexican border. "Some illegals can get past it, so it's useless!"
The point isn't to be 100% effective. The point is to be mostly effective
So yeah, it looks like they were dishonest with us about the masks, without directly lying. Sad!
