I wonder if it might be time to short some of the nursing home stocks like Ensign Group, Inc. ENSG. They've had a run up since March too, but if there are a lot fewer customers to go around... especially if Covid becomes endemic, as many scientists are thinking it might...
i have no long term opinions here but if ENSG hits 73, its almost certainly hitting 77.50 within a week and probably topping 78 by mid January... nice little volume shelf here as well.
like i want to see if it pushes down through support before i take a position, especially if spooz keeps sucking dicks.. but damned this looks good to me for a quick cash in mid january.

I have some personal experience with older relatives in Florida. Places like the Villages. Bentley Village in Naples is $3500/mo (that’s just like your HOA fee - you buy the apt or house) and these people are snowbirds so they aren’t there half the year. No words.
These companies and their ability to light your inheritance on fire is breathtaking. You want to be on that side of the bedpan.
I know people who grab a unit before they really retire just to lock in a spot. It’s crazy
In more conventional retirement centers... a lot of boomers had great pensions. Google pensions. I know the widow of an IBM machinist who never has to worry about cost. I know a GM factory paint guy in a similar situation after 30 years. God bless.

Yeah PA did this also. I made a post about Rivers opening their poker room. Opened on 12-7, then got shut down on Friday. It’s a casino, so no one is crying for casino corporations, but dealers got about 3 days. So much for Christmas tips.
Gym business is a rough business already without this shit. At least around here. I feel for you.
Maybe in a few big cities. I searched it as I didn’t know, and polls showed 21% were making more, but 58% had lost much of their business. Most personal trainers I know here and elsewhere work out of gyms. Being an online guy or having a home studio was definitely the way to go this year, but San is an owner, so I was thinking from that angle.
Right. If you depended on the gym to get clients, or were new, sucks for you. However, because of live IG classes which then turned into boot camp style classes where you could charge $20 a class and have 25+ people in a park(provided you spent money on equipment) AND get unemployment plus pandemic, you were doing very good for about 4 months or so.

My problems in 2018 led me to examine Vitamin D. At one point I read several reports that some people beat their LPR by treating their Vitamin D deficiency.
My blood test at the time showed a Vitamin D deficiency, so the solution seemed obvious. I started taking Vitamin D, and the deficiency went away. The LPR remained, but at the same time, I had read about the importance of proper Vitamin D levels (including some theorized but unproven pitfalls of having it low), so I swore I would never let my D levels slip again.
I've taken 4000 IU of D3 every day since then. At least in that sense, I was prepared for what was coming to the world in 2020.
But yeah, I suggest everyone go buy some Vitamin D ASAP, before word gets around about this and it's impossible to find.
Yeah, I’ve been on this vitamin D and Covid thing since almost the start and saying that as I’ve kept reading various physicians talk about the vitamin D levels of those admitted. For awhile they weren’t sure if it was a chicken or egg thing, but it’s clearly a contributory factor, one of the largest outside obesity, of which many are deficient anyway.
I can recall me and you having this conversation in April as I’m like you. Naturally deficient. Dad is also. My doc said take 4000 ius pre-pandemic. Mine was 9 with bottom normal range being 30 on test a few years ago when I finally started.
I just go with 5k ius. You can take too much vitamin D, but that small above is fine. I loaded up my dad with vitamin D as I know he will tend to forget to take his. I also added zinc to the mix daily
I wonder if the Dakotas have actually achieved some level of herd immunity? Over 10% of the population has been diagnosed with Covid at some point, meaning the real number is magnitudes higher (40%?). The daily cases have been dropping the last couple weeks and it is hard to believe it is due to behavior, but maybe.
I had the whole family on vitamin D gummies all summer, but fell off the wagon a couple months ago and stopped. Obviously bad timing. Guess I should restart, just keep forgetting to buy them. It is actually pretty expensive although that wasn't the reason I stopped.
