I was a Mayor Pete fan and still am but I'm hoping for Bloomberg now. The way to beat a bully is to stand up to him and Bloomberg has pulled no punches so far.

I don't like some of the things he did in the past like the stop and frisk and some of the things he's said in the past, but you've got to be able to accept an apology and keep on moving. Everybody has something to apologize for.

The Democrats have to unite behind someone in a big way and turn out to vote. The alternative is 4 more years of Trump.

This is in the primaries or in the general?

Somehow this slipped by me. Wapo had a pretty damaging article about Bloomberg today. He might have a #metoo problem. Here's a snippet

In the most high-profile example, a top saleswoman, Sekiko Sakai Garrison, alleged that Bloomberg told female salespeople about a male colleague getting married: “All of you girls line up to give him [oral sex] as a wedding present.” And, the lawsuit said, when Bloomberg saw certain women, he said, “I’d f— that in a second.”…

Garrison alleged that Bloomberg berated female employees who got pregnant. “What the hell did you do a thing like that for?” Bloomberg allegedly told one pregnant employee. On another occasion, the lawsuit said, Bloomberg berated a female employee who had trouble finding a nanny. “It’s a f—— baby! . . . All you need is some black who doesn’t have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building.”…

When Bloomberg learned on April 11, 1995, that Garrison was pregnant, according to her suit, he allegedly said to her, “Kill it!” Garrison asked Bloomberg to repeat what he said, and she said he responded, “Kill it! Great! Number 16!,” which she took as a reference to the number of pregnant women and new mothers at the company.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...oomberg-women/

Now the Clinton leak makes a lot more sense. It keeps the Wapo headline off the lede at Drudge and creates a nice distraction. And how sexist can Bloomberg be if he's considering putting one of the most powerful women on the ticket?

yeah he was a legit racist sexist pig, in that absolutely classic wall street cokehead way.

but hes 98% less so than trump while being exponentially smarter and stable.

the volume of dems bitching about him is alarming but they simply havent put up a better option and they need to own that shit. this is a disaster of their own parties making.

id be more concerned but there are so fucking few trump voters who wouldnt rather vote for bloomberg that it seems like its ultimately a cosmetic issue.

at the end of the day, trump won an election by manipulating the news cycle. then he maintained his presidency by manipulating the news cycle.

and bloombergs team is already manipulating the news cycle more effectively than trump ever imagined possible because they are smarter and have more resources and because trumps a mentally ill weirdo.

    gotta love it.

I really want this to be true, but I don’t see it. I think he’s drawing live in Pa, Michigan, and Florida only as far as states trump won, but even those I can’t really see him winning. I think he wins almost none of the Bernie voters.

I think he may have the best chance, but that chance is super slim.

It’s pretty much a math question about how many suburban trump voters do you need to flip to make up for losing 20% of your base? That’s assuming he doesn’t run into more stop and frisk issues. I really don’t know anyone who voted Trump who won’t still be voting trump. I’m sure they exist, but I think they exist largely in states all ready going blue.

125k people showing up to vote Trump in NH when he’s not really even opposed in any real way tells me more than anything else about that primary.

I don’t think any dem can win unless the bottom falls out in a way that any dem can win.

I love the notion of Bloomberg making a buffoon of trump on some debate stage and everyone fist pumping and excited, but that’s just left wing porn.

He’s going to walk out giving up a foot in height and every good point he makes will be a personal slight to the person who voted for trump. Trump makes a fool of himself every damn day and it doesn’t change their mind. They love him more.

Any good point he makes it just going to be processed mentally as look at tiny little mr smartypants who thinks he’s so smart.

I’m trying to see it, but even if I squint I struggle to see where he gets young people and black people standing in line for 8 hours to vote for him.

    I just don’t see it.

Trump voters would line up tomorrow to vote for him in November

not offered as any sort of rebuttal as much as pure thesis; bloomberg has momentum. if the election was held in 20 minutes, youre dead on the money.

but trump's cult loves a winner. bloomberg is going to eviscerate that mystique about trump during each and every debate, providing trump even shows up for them.

trump cant go after him because of racism; trump was sued (successfully) for having a hard policy of never selling units on his properties to black people.

trump cant go after him for stop and frisk because trump tweeted how much he loved it.

trump cant go after him for anything really.

and bloomberg has an incredibly target rich environment; every single thing donald trump sold himself as will wilt when bloomberg presents endless testimonials about how the dudes a grifter who squandered 10x more money than he ever made. and then hes going to show The Wall blowing over in a stiff breeze, trump being mocked at home and abroad, etc etc.

i dont know, i think hes more vulnerable than youre making him out to be.

bloomberg really is a complete anomaly

in so many ways, he's a typical republican, but then he's also militant against the NRA and super far left on the environment

i have no fucking idea how this plays out

drudge just essentially scrubbed all its bloomberg banner news, despite hillary literally confirming she would run with bloomberg if asked.

    this is getting hilarious.

Did you deliberately omit the hate? The angry and disaffected populist component.

Speaking of hate, I still don’t get the Billary deal. If you aren’t angry about being run over or forgotten by the boom - as a swing voter you certainly remember the smooth lyin pig Bill Clinton and his fixer Hillary. Bloomberg isn’t stealing a single Trump voter with Clinton. He’s self destructing.

I am really really really trying with the Democrats. There is no effin way I’m supporting that murdering, lyin, stealin bitch.

I mean, I guess as along as we are talking impeachment’s past and present we can have Hillary too

In before you compare Trump’s issues to Clinton’s baggage. It’s never getting heads up. It’s not either/or.

You are on audition if you are a late-comer like Bloomberg. You are really only one mistake away from me going, “NEXT!”

I’m not sidedish but isn’t Trump’s approval rating at a personal ATH?

Isn’t he polling higher than Billary at this point in its presidency? (Respect the pronoun) I imagine he is or its damn close.

    What am I missing?

    Just for sport, I’ll play

I think in 2016 the populist phenomenon was still trading at a discount unless you followed Bannon on twitter.

I think we don’t know how Sanders might have tapped in to that .... we didn’t understand until election night.

Speaking of 2016. It’s hard to remember where #metoo was back then. Isn’t the Clinton impeachment a world class #metoo? If you are a mid to late 20’s female you have no frigging idea what Bill and Hillary were about. Koboucher can educate her.

    Wrong

Parscale won an election. Single handed. With no money. He invented the tools and redefined the game. Set aside politics and respect the genius and maybe the ruthlessness.

Bloomberg has a team. He’s like the Dodgers. All the talent and money in the world. He has no excuse. We will see.

I apologize Sonatine. You are PFA and we owe you but I can’t allow a free pass today. You are better than all this.
