if you sell now, you can jump on again if it starts to moon. otherwise youre just going to get out in 4k or 5k from now because your hunch was a super expensive mistake that got more and more expensive the longer you refused to deal with it.

i know you're just trolling, because any rational person is not going to declare themselves "right all along" when they declared it 5 years ago and meanwhile traders (i mean the smart traders) were making money all along the way. Its kind of like someone in the 50's predicting a huge stock market crash, and it doesn't happen until 1987...

I agree; if someone had accurately predicted the cause and severity of the stock market crash that early, it also would have been quite remarkable.

Somewhere I used the toss away line “Ponzi Scheme” recently and Mumble bit.

There are and were a lot of crummy exchanges. That black unregulated pool that was too scary for Sonatine to bathe in.

Remember Madoff, Mumbles, and why he finally came undone? It was the crash of 2008. Even fraud looks good in green.

Is it not out of the realm of possibility that a lot shady activity gets stressed and some unpleasantness is revealed.

Might some shenanigans be causing certain outfits to liquidate to cover looming issues? Jail is can be unpleasant.

Just trying to visualize the 4th qtr here.

Again, if anyone thinks I am full of crap, let's set up some kind of structured bet where we set terms of how much we win/lose based upon its value on June 1. I think it will be fun.
Well a year ago today would be $1075 according to coinmarketcap and I believe it was around $800 to start the year.

So will you book bets that it will fall below $1000 by June 1st 2018?

Sanlmar can you explain how "poof and it's gone"?

In 2018, is it because everyone pulls back their positions that were all credit based?

Are we close to a 2008 level crash but we don't know it yet?

You talking Bitcoin or the DOW?

Where else were we gonna put our money but Wall Street? Money was free. Janet Yellen fucking nuked and spooked people by calling a spade a spade.

Who has time to talk about all the credit issues?

We are nowhere near 2008 with the stock market. We are too old to live to see that again in my opinion. That was unbelievable shit. I can close my eyes and remember each day. Where I was etc.

    Bitcoin a completely different story.

Customers using credit cards on Coinbase: the following card issuers are now blocking purchases of digital currency with credit cards.

    Chase
    Bank of America
    Citi
    Capital One

We're encouraging affected customers to switch to debit card or bank account payment methods.

I was just using that as a refencence to Wall Street.. but I feel ya

GE is something else though. Prolly gets booted from the DOW after like 1898.

The bright spot was always GE Capital. There was some guy running that. Can’t remember the name. Guy was killing it. They wanted to slow down his compensation cause he was drowning in bonuses.

    Lol, that genius Jack Welch.

Anyway, the GE Capital guy said, “fuck off” and left. Of course, all his minions wanted to follow the money and they bolted too. GE Capital was fucked.

There are a lot of stories like that. Digital Equipment. It not wanting to pay their salesmen too much. Poof, they’re gone.

Lol, at this exact moment the Celtics put GE on their uniform. Druff may be right about the Celtics.

I just had a friend pop around with a most magnificent smelly ounce of budly goodness and a bottle of Macallan 18 yo single malt, that he gifted to me.

A month ago he wanted to invest more into BTC, I told him to sell what he was holding.
He didn't really listen to me at the time, but once he saw the price start to fall he completely sold his position at a nice profit.
His exact words "if it wasn't for you I'd be $100k in the hole"

Least someone was grateful for my advise.
