The article you linked actually supports my claim. Did you not read it all?
There's tons of evidence there that a bribe took place, and lots of statements regarding the FBI not cooperating at the time of investigation.
Are you going by this one laughable paragraph:
The FBI declined to answer specific questions but in a joint statement with the Utah Department of Public Safety, FBI spokeswoman Sandra Yi Barker said, "At no time has the FBI or DPS been asked to back off of an investigation of any public official."
Come on, Mumbles. Notice the wording. "At no time has the FBI or Department of Public Safety been asked to back off an investigation of any public official."
Notice
been asked. That doesn't mean they're cooperating or investigating. They're just saying that nobody ASKED them to back off.
As to why Sean Reyes (current Utah AG) doesn't want to investigate it, I don't know. There's all kinds of reasons this could be, including possibly wanting to protect friends or colleagues who would also go down if the truth were to come out.
But if you read the article and come away with the impression that Reid didn't receive the bribe, I don't know what to tell you.
Johnson, who wasn't political except when it helped him scam people, made these allegations without any personal gain from doing so, there's a paper trail to back it up, and Reid did indeed abruptly change his stance on online poker right around that time.
